It is deep and mysterious and fascinating to see the Owl Aumakua standing there on the pathway.

This is stunning – and so much work must have gone into this. The symbolism of the owl, standing on top of the magician-hat is super and makes us wonder about the magical forest beyond. Dead wood, fungii growing on the ground and the trees – and a gateway to walk through. Magical and so well crafted.

I spend a long time making my images because I stare a lot, what I do gets informed by what I feel while I stare, it is a very interesting process. And sometimes I feel myself in the scene so I’ll look around and… ho look, of course there is a little bush here! It’s magic!
And I am very big on ‘nothing is as it seems’, comes from my shamanic path. Here I wanted to create a scene where looking through the door you’re not sure if it is an other place or the same forest, you’ll have to walk through to find out! I just love triggering the imagination with subtle suggestions, hey we need to wonder, it’s good for our heart :)
