Design I created from sections of an earlier work (see “8_3_11”). I took these sections, then overlapped them as layers at different angles. I blended them together in Photoshop CS4 with the “difference” blend option in the layers panel menu which produced the bronze and crimson colors based on a formula explained in the Photoshop help section. I copied the result to another canvas which was twice the size of the original piece. I rotated the work and arranged it so that there would be enough room for a copy of it at the opposite end of the canvas. Thus making a reflection of itself and a larger image.
Over all there is a total of 6 pieces or “sections” to this work, which is 50" by 25" inches in size.
