This is a photograph of the Gervais Street bridge that leads into Columbia SC on US 1. I took this photograph in January of 09’. To add the vintage effect in this picture I used the raw camera data and made adjustments, such as converting the image to black and white from color. I converted the raw file to a Jpeg and brought it into photoshop. Here I applied the vintage effect. I took a photograph of some very nicely textured paper taped to a window catching the morning sunlight. I combined the photograph of the textured paper and the photograph of the bridge by using the multiply blend setting in the layers pull down menu. Further adjustments were made such as adding the sepia tone and bringing in another texture to apply to the shadows with the screen blend setting on the layers menu.

Very Gothic. It makes Columbia look like Sherlock Homes is going to pop around the corner at any minute.
