The “Star Barn” was built in 1872 and was listed in the National Register for Historic Places on 7/27/2000. Got up at 5 am to see what the historic Star Barn outside of Middletown, PA would look like at dawn. I was rewarded with just a few moments of sunlight before the clouds moved in. The Lower Humbert Covered Bridge reflected in the waters of the Laurel Hill Creek. The Lower Humbert Bridge is located in Somerset County approximately 2 miles northeast of Ursina, PA. The Hunsecker’s Mill Covered Bridge is located on Hunsecker Road northeast of Lancaster, PA. Originally built in 1843, it was completely destroyed by Hurricane Agnes in 1973. The / current bridge was completed in 1975. Nikon D300 with 18 – 200 VR Lens, handheld, Program Mode.

Sunrise on a cool November morning in Hellertown Pa. at the old grist mill. 1740s grist and saw mill located along the Saucon Creek in Hellertown Pa. The owner also obtained a tavern licence in 1750. Herr’s Mill Covered Bridge is a covered bridge that spans Pequea Creek in Lancaster County, Pa. Built in 1844 it is also sometimes known as Soudersburg Bridge. John Herr, built the first grist mill/saw mill at this site on the Pequea in 1738-40. The second mill was built by Johns grandson, Squire John Herr, about 1803. The flour, grist, and saw mill was also at times used to grind coen meal and as a distillery. / The mill’s two turbines, that produced about 25 barrels of flour in its heyday, were supplied by Pequea waters via a 1500’ headrace from an 8’ dam. A 1200’ tailrace completed the cycle. The mill was closed in 1924. The bridge In 1980 was added to the National Register of Historic Places as structure number 80003537.

We have group shoots around the state where we meet fellow members to share our photography interests and get some tips and tricks to make us better photographers. We run challenges to stimulate the creative juices of our members and to try some different techniques to help hone our skills.
We also welcome members of our group to promote photography/camera clubs of which they are also a member. If you are also a member of a local club, we will be glad to provide a link to their web site.
