  The Mushroom (Illustration)- by Robert Dye

  This is an illustration that was produced with black ink and watercolor pencils on paper. The subject of the mushroom is filled with a variety of line work and is stylized to express the textural quality of the form. Also there are three distorted faces, from three different angles, within the image, which help to convey ambivalent concepts within the work. It was created in 2007.

  The Black Widow (Illustration)- by Robert Dye

  This illustration piece was produced with black ink and watercolor pencils on paper. I had created multiple drawings of the subject until the right composition of the spider and overlapping skull was found. I think it relates an obvious context with interesting and simple details. I really enjoy the nose and foramen of the skull serving as the eyes of the spider. It was produced in 2007.

  The Flying Leopard (Illustration)- by Robert Dye

  This is another illustrative work that was completed with black ink and watercolor pencils on paper. It was started with pencil to create an outline of the form, and then refined within the outline with various sized lines and celtic knots, which expressed the movement and depth of the leopard. The wings and the bottom streaks helped to balance the work, and add an enhanced creative nature behind the movement of the subject. I enjoyed the creative coloration of the line work, which also helped to create a greater dimension and depth to the piece. It was produced in 2007.

  3 Weyes Men by Shawn Coss

  This was a pencil design I did a year back. A lot of my art portrays my feelings towards the social status of this era. How we are consumed by reality tv, game shows, and just plain bad television. Once born of flesh and blood, we are slowly becoming one with technology and absorbed into the useless trash we find flipping through channels. Here, the already converted mother is trying to protect the only remnants that remind her that she too was once human.
