All images submitted to this group must meet the following guidelines:
1) The image must be taken via one of several ways:
– The first way is to have a stationary object/person and a mobile light source with a stationary camera. The shutter speed is relatively slow (can be up to several minutes!), and while the shutter is open, the object is exposed to the hand-held light.
– The second way is to have a mobile light source as well as a mobile object/person, also with a stationary camera.
– The third way would be to have a stationary light source, and a mobile camera.
There are many different combinations, more than just these, but the idea remains the same: long exposure time with the objective of doing more than just capturing a moment in time. These are just a few examples of the different techniques you can do:

2) We want to know how the picture was taken. This is so that we can all learn from each other. Please write a description of what you did to get the desired effect. It can be as short and sweet or as technically detailed as you want. This will also keep the group hosts from accidentally rejecting things.
3) This group is not for every blurry photograph you might have accidentally taken.
4) Please be sure to browse the group’s work to get an idea of that this means – this is not a group to just throw anything involving light into. There are tons of gorgeous shots out there of sunsets, street night life, landscapes, etc… but they do not belong here. We would also like to exclude fireworks. They are, in essence, a moment in time that was captured by the camera, not a purposeful artistic use of a camera, light source, and model/object.
5) Images must be photographs displaying the technique. Any obvious manipulations, from inversions to obvious form changes, will not be approved. Tonal changes are alright so long as they are not too drastic.
6) No written work, as we can’t see how any would apply to the theme; Please BM a host if you disagree or for a ruling on a given written work. This includes journals
7) If your work is removed to your dismay, please speak with a host for clarification as to why if you feel your image was unfairly removed. Improper work may be removed without warning or notice.
8) Please only submit 2 images that are similar in nature. We do not need to view your entire collection of Beanie Babies under a flashlight, one at a time. Please pick the best pictures and submit those.
9) Members must follow the Red Bubble Code of Conduct. As with the spirit of Red Bubble, please be kind to all members, especially in the forums, and especially remember to upload only your best images.
