PAINTERS IN MODERN TIMES – WHAT’S NEW3rd of November, 2009 Here is a call out to any of you wonderful members who can speak/write in Spanish and if you are willing to lend us a hand with translating some type for one of our spanish members. Those of you already watching (or joining in) kafka’s screenplay thread might have noticed that there are some references to famous artists, paintings and literary works – there’s a reason for this (as there usually is with k!) There are more than just some references, there are a load of them hidden in TT and Snowy’s dialogue – some of them are fairly obvious…..but some of them are fiendishly hidden in codes, anagrams and asides – all you have to do to win the competition is find as many of them as you can and name them. (If you think you have found one, try and name both the artist and the painting, or, if the answer is a book or poem, the author and the title. begin at the start of the thread and write the answers in the sequence that you find them). But! – and this is the important bit! – to enter the competition you MUST make at least one post in the thread and try and introduce a new character or clue to help TT and Snowy solve the mystery of the missing painting. When the thread finishes (in a few weeks time) everyone who has contributed to the story by posting in the thread will be able to post their answers in a specially set up moderated thread that can only be seen by the group hosts – after they have been checked the winner will be announced. .................................................
