I am a married mother of four kids, squeezing in moments of painting and photography around changing nappies and doing the school run! I love to paint images of the Australian landscape, which end up fairly abstract by the time I am done. Generally, I work with acrylics, ink and pastels. I have been attending art classes for a number of years now, and love every minute.

When I look at Debra’s portfolios the first thing that hits me is the vibrant freshness of her images. Her photographs and paintings relate to the land and the water and especially the meeting of the two. This must give her work a great direction because her paintings seem so crisp (for want of a better word).
Her paintings remind me of Cezanne and at the same time I see Fred Williams
