In The Artist’s Words

I have always been very interested in the visual arts. As a small child I was always drawing and making up stories about the people or animals I drew.I would draw on anything , on the edges of the newspaper,in the dirt, any clear space …even on the walls!!
It wasn’t until I got to school that I discovered what a wonderful world of media was available.
Eventually I went on to train as and Art/Craft teacher.I loved teaching and loved the opportunity to experience the wide variety of mediums, along with my students.
However, it was not until I retired that I was truly able to follow my own path .
I like most mediums and my work covers watercolour, gouache, acrylics, oils, some pastel and drawings.

In my Words

Mrs Willow’s portfolio is a beautiful thing to view. She has embraced many media and had success with all. Her flowers in watercolor are particularly divine and her landscapes take you on a journey to its fabulous destinations. It is clear that she is loving her newly found time to create work and it is us, the observers, that are reaping the benefit. It is fantastic that she has been voted most popular with her work Bridge in the PiMT challenge It’s not easy being Green and did so with 10 votes.
