In the Artist’s Words

I started painting two years ago. I am a scientist by day but i have always needed a creative outlet. I paint because I enjoy it and find it calming. I draw all my pieces before painting them, and I am experimenting with new techniques and different styles.
I can’t paint with green and I can’t get away from blue.

In my Words

Expressive is how I would describe Peter’s portfolio. He has a message and that message comes out through his paintings. Inspired by the Australian painter Arthur Boyd his work is reminiscent of the Angry Penguin Movement. I, in particular, love the painting Clone Man where the canvas is not just the surface to which the paint has been applied, it is an integral part of it, having been slashed and stitched back together with the inclusion of a zip.
Peter uses drawing and photography as a means to document his ideas and through these images gains the knowledge to paint his subjects.
