In the Artist’s own Words

I am an artist, wife and a mom of two beautiful children who inspire me constantly to make the world a better place for them. I love where we live here in the Pacific Nortwest surrounded by big trees and water.

I work mainly with the figure because I am in love with it, and I use symbolism and surrealist imagry to describe our connection with the earth. I like to include birds in my work and mythology from many cultures to help tell a story.

In my Words

Laurie’s work is truly inspired and it is easy to see what inspires her. This inspiration together with her unique style combine to create eye catching works of art. Often working in a series she completely explores her subjects and transfers this understanding to the viewer. As well as her unique style of painting Laurie is also an accomplished drawer and dabbles very successful with digital work.
