I think I need a definition of the word critique here. Critically speaking, I can’t say anything bad about this picture. The colors are awesome: I love the way the green of the support on the left is echoed by the little flow of light leading off under the right lane. I like the crop at the top and how only the downward part of the light is there. Trying not to over use the word love here, but it’s hard. I love the color of the sky and the halo from the lamp glow. At the moment I cannot comment on the bottom part of the image because this reply box is blocking my view, but I am sure that I love it. As for any suggestions for improvement? If this were my picture (don’t I wish!), I would back off and resist the temptation to do another thing to it.

I agree with Ginney about the colours. This shot offers all those amazing night time shades that the sun just doesn’t touch! The way the lines run along the outside strip of the road offers up promise of movement that the unseen cars don’t.

In terms of critique, I can only suggest recropping, and that’s a personal taste anyway. I’m a little distracted by the symmetry of the white pole in the middle and would probably sneak a bit of a crop off the right of the picture to pull the pole over a little. I will try and put an example following, the link may/maynot work…

It would be interesting to see what this shot looked like horizontally, chopping out the light at the top and emphasizing the curves of the road more. Great pic though!

I agree with Heather, I think that if you cropped a little bit off of the right side it would look better, other than that it looks great.

I like the straight and curved lines in this photo! Framing is good too! Green light under the bridge makes this photo more interesting.
