Topic: General Discussion / NEW LEADERSHIP OF THE GROUP

Natural Developments Group

Important messages, please take the time to read them!

Dear Members of Natural Developments,

As many of you are already aware, the torch has passed in our group. As the group’s founder and original host, I see this as a unique opportunity for Natural Developments to evolve into something even greater than originally envisioned. I know that many of you wish I were still the group’s host, and some of you even undertook a valiant effort to have me reinstated. While the future is always filled with possibilities, let’s not get bogged down in the past and the way things used to be. I ask each of you to embrace and welcome the new leadership of the group. They are all amazing people of the highest artistic integrity, and they will carry the group forward to an even greater level of achievement and pride. I am excited about our new leadership team, and have placed my expertise at their disposal any time they feel my input would be useful. It is with great pleasure that I make the handoff to Lisa, Steve and Jan. Please give them the respect and encouragement their new position as hosts deserves, and continue to make this the finest group in all of RedBubble!

Cheers

Mundy

A short message from your hosts

Since its inception, Natural Developments has been a group meant to honor the “best of the best” in wildlife photography on Red Bubble, with work on par with that appearing in iconic publications such as “National Geographic.”

The concept for this group was the brainchild of Mundy Hackett. We all owe our appreciation to Mundy for making this group into what it is today. Natural Developments is a wonderful place for wildlife photographers to exhibit their talent, challenge their skill level, and to share knowledge and expertise with each other.

With humble hearts we accept this passing of the torch. We recognize the burden that falls upon our shoulders for keeping the flame alive. As the new hosts, we assure you we are very proud of the past achievements of this group, and look forward with much anticipation to the future accomplishments of all the members we have on board today, and those joining us in the future. We promise to continue to uphold the high standards already set in place for this group.

Hosting an active Red Bubble group requires a great deal of time and dedication. If our shared responsibilities become so much that we need help, we will look to all of our dedicated members to lend a hand. With your help, we’ll work to make this the most prestigious group in all of RedBubble!

In the near future, you will be receiving a BubbleMail asking you to vote on the winner for the current contest. All guidelines for the group at this point remain the same as before. Feel free to BubbleMail one of us at anytime if you have questions. We will keep you abreast of new development within the group through BubbleMail, and links to forums as needed.

The breadth of talent in this group is truly amazing and we are all proud and honored to have been asked to be your hosts. Keep your eye on the prize, and keep on submitting your best work ever!

Let’s keep the flame burning.

Steve, Jan and Lisa

Topic: General Discussion / Our host has been dismissed

I would suggest the friends of redbubble forums, which is appropriate as it is for group hosts, and it’s about a former group host. It is also more closely monitered then the main forums, so we might get a response. But he did recently write a journal saying what happened, roughly, but I don’t think it was enough to warrant him being not only dismissed but also removed from redbubble (well, all work, but journals are still there.)
It explains it vaguely, but to just remove someone who actually has responsibility in the community for whatever without warning or consultation is not very good.
I’ll put it in friends of rb forums- there are some other points I want to raise in the post as well.

Has anybody directly asked RB about it..?
I still can’t believe that happened. I can’t imagine never seeing another of his works again… i was going to buy one as well. That is not exactly customer satisfaction, RB.

WHAT?
I vote for a petition to let him back then. I don’t accept this.
Could we make one? At least to find out why.
Lets hope they don’t take offence at THAT. It’s our community, let’s do something about it.
I’m not letting him leave.

To all the fellow members of the Natural Development Group.

Mundy, our host, has been removed by RB.

The news are unsettling and maybe, like me, most of you wish to know why…..

I could not find any explanation in any Forum.
Mundy does not explain as it seems is up to RB to notify the members of the reason of their decision.

I think the members are owed an explanation, and maybe also allow Mundy to defend himself of possible accusations that had, as an outcome, such drastic measures.

Natural Develpment has showcased some outstanding work – and all was the result of a vision Mundy had……

Topic: General Discussion / 33 members!

I just wanted to say that we are really coming along quite nicely considering the busy holiday week and all. I am so excited that we already have 33 members and 15 keen works posted in the new Natural Developments group! This is spot on fantastic, and I expect us to hit 100 members by the end of January, so please pass the word! Additionally, I will be selecting the first group of images for week 1 on January 8, 2008 so anyone who has not submitted yet be working on it.

Lastly, please say a quiet prayer in your own way for the family of Sarah and Glenn Moore, by now you all have likely heard of the tragic loss of their young son. They need all of our positive thoughts and energy right now and in coming months so please keep them in your prayers.

Cheers

Mundy
