Middlesbrough Drops by colin
The coal drops on the river Tees estuary, in the 1830’s. I love the daunting and weird, distant grey structures, ready to drop the coal upon the collier (coal) ships. My version of another Thomas Hair. Watercolour and pencil.

Doors of Perception by lifeinlights
This door is apparently very well photographed. It looks fantastic on its own but i felt that it needed a new look. I choose the title because it seemed to fit. This is how I perceived this door. No I didn’t take four-tenths of a gram of mescaline like Aldous Huxley to see this. I just used a bit of imagination and a bit of photoshop. Thats one of the things I like about photography, all you need is some software and a bit of creativity. Im not saying hallucinogens are bad. Sometimes its fun without them.

The old Peat Store, Gang Mine. by TallGuy
The old peat store was used for drying out and storing peat, presumably for fuel. It was a touch windy at the time of taking the shot so the shot isn’t quite as sharp as I would like.. once more hdr was used for effect, maybe a tad too much:-)

Old Gang Smelting Mine Building. by TallGuy
Hdr really can give a photo atmosphere. This shot was really flat until I processed it.. I tend to go heavy on the processing to try and give a feeling of age to the shot.. ok, I use hdr to make a poor shot better..lol.

The goals. by RichiesArt
Watercolour on 140grms paper. 16” X14”. The best spot around for a game of football. Often painted on the wall, over and over again!. But that was 30 years ago – now the corner shop, the houses, the people, the kids laughter, the smells, the shouts of ‘goal!’, have all gone – along with our nets.
