This song evolved from the writing “Lay Rest Your Burden” Sometimes the emotions that overrun the heart when seeing someone you love hurting, must be expressed in some way..this is my way. Some things we know only the Lord can mend…

By His stripes we are healed by amarica
I was working with a combination of an image I got several years ago from a newspaper story about the shroud of Turin. The original image was very poor and I had to recreate the face using the newspaper image as a model. Then I worked with I worked with Micrografx, Photoshop, Photomatrix and Apophysis to create the finished work. I experimented a little and got several works that I really like. I hope you enjoy them. Although we do not know what Christ really looked like because the Hebrew people did not draw or paint images of anyone because it was against their religion, we do have ideas we have formed based upon legend and theories that have been passed down through time and have become a generally accepted image that comes to mind when we think of Christ. I will be posting several that are part of this series and they are all inspired by scripture from the Holy Bible. This is the fifth of nine in the series. Jesus Christ the Messiah never committed a sin or a crime in thought, word or deed. Nevertheless, they crucified Him. Scripture tells us they were blinded for the sake of the Gentiles. That had they not crucified Him, we would not have His righteousness by which we might escape the punishment for our sins. He willingly took our sins upon Himself…and gave us His righteousness to wear as a cloak, a wedding garment which cleanses us and imputes His righteousness upon us when we accept it as a free gift…the greatest gift of all, eternal life. Mt 27:35: And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots Ga 2:20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 1Corinthians 1:18: For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. / / Col 1:13: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: / Col 1:14: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: / / Ga 2:20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 1Pe 2:21: For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: / 1Pe 2:22: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: / 1Pe 2:23: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: / 1Pe 2:24: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. I am the light by Matthew Scotland
This is the dupplin cross which stands inside St Serfs church in Dunning, just off the A9 between Stirling and Perth. it is a wonderful 9’th century sandstone sculpture about 6ft tall containing Pictish style carvings of one of the Picts’ favourite religious subjects – King David, as well as various beasts, harpists, and knights. / It is said to mark a key moment in Scottish history in that it is the first time Pictish carvings have been seen on a free-standing cross (which was a monument type used by the invader nations of Britons, Angles, and Scots). it may mark tthe change-over from the ‘kingdom of Pictland’ to the ‘united kingdom of Picts and Scots’ which emerged in the 9’th century under the Gaelic conquerer Kenneth MacAlpine. / i liked this picture of the cross the best, with the light flooding in upon the stone symbol it reminded me of Christ saying he is THE LIGHT. John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. / Many thanks to the tour guide in the church who’se depth of knowledge and enthusiasm really brought the subject to life.

Alpha and Omega by amarica
I was working with a combination of an image I got several years ago from a newspaper story about the shroud of Turin. The original image was very poor and I had to recreate the face using the newspaper image as a model. Then I worked with I worked with Micrografx, Photoshop and Apophysis to create the finished work. I will be posting several that are part of this series and they are all inspired by scripture from the Holy Bible. This is the seventh of nine in the series. In Revelation we read of John’s experience and the visions he had while imprisoned there for teaching people about Christ and salvation. An angel appeared to John and then he was met face to face by Jesus Christ Himself transformed into His true visage, one of majesty and awesome power. John was taken up into Heaven and shown visions of things that were past, things that were present and also the future was revealed to him. He was told to write these visions down for future generations. He was shown the judgement that was coming upon the Earth and its inhabitants. Re 1:9: ¶ I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. / Re 1:10: I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, / Re 1:11: Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last:... / Re 1:12: And I turned to see the voice that spake with me… / Re 1:14: His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; Re 1:7: Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. / Re 1:8: I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Re 14:6: ¶ And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, / Re 14:7: Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. Alleluia, Lord God omnipotent by amarica

I will be posting several that are part of this series and they are all inspired by scripture from the Holy Bible. This is the eighth of nine in the series. In Revelation after all the judgments have taken place, John reveals the finish and end of the reign of evil upon the Earth and Christ is glorified. He is victorious and honored by His creation. Re 19:1: ¶ And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: / Re 19:5: ¶ And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. / Re 19:6: And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. I Can Stand On Mountains by Marie's Memories
This capture of my grandson was taken by his Mom and reminded me of the verses from a song written by Josh Groban. In part: “You lift me up so I can stand on mountains. You raise me up to more than I can be.” I think of my relationship with God and hope he raises up my grandchildren to all they can be with His guidance. My daughter, Angela, has her own profile Angelaka Black /

"Wait" by Phil Thomson IPA
This image is a team effort in collaboration with the very talented and gracious Rosalie Dale A little creativity and some brute strength have gone into making this seat, many years ago, situated along the track to Phantom Falls, in the Otways. Psalm 37:34 / 34 Wait on the LORD, / And keep His way, / And He shall exalt you to inherit the land; / When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
