Although the print size I used is quite large, I’m unsure if you will be able to read it in the picture shown here so what I have written next to the image is… “Our Greatest Strength Is In Togetherness”

  • God in the Morning by paodom

The original image was of hollyhocks growing along the highway. I love photographing them because of all the shades of color and textures. I then took the original image into Photoshop and created a watercolor. I also used some textures I created and brushes to create the background. I hope you enjoy this design.

  • Be Still and wait upon the Lord by paodom

The monarch butterflies migrate from Mexico up through the middle of Texas twice a year. Sometimes they look like a cloud of butterflies. This image was taken close to Abilene, TX. I used a Canon Rebel XT with a 24-70mm f/2.8L lens. I took the image into Photoshop and created a watercolor from it. The verse was fitting because they will not lite on or near you if you don’t stand still. Sometimes we need to be still and know that God will draw near.

  • God is our Strength by paodom

There is a very old cemetery that is covered with bluebonnets every spring. Despite the fact that I go there every spring, it looks new and more beautiful every year. I take my images into Photoshop and turn them into watercolors. The lone flower standing tall made me think about how sometimes we need to be reminded that we are not alone as long as we draw on God’s strength.

  • Psalm 139: 9-10 by paodom

This mama red bird was perched on the side mirror of our pickup. I could almost touch her. It was like she was waiting for me to snap her picture. I took the photograph with the Canon Rebel XT and the 24-70mm f/2.8L lens. I took the image into Photoshop and turned it into a watercolor. Then I created a new background with different textures and brushes. The Psalm is one of my favorites. It helps me remember that no matter how far I think I am from God he will always find me. Patty

  • In my Eyes ... for My Mom by Judi Taylor

In my Eyes … for my Mom I know you were not perfect, neither am I. You were hard on me and I even know that I was not your favorite. But in my eyes … you were a fine lady and I wanted to make you proud, to earn that spot in your heart. At times, I know I did. You did not always understand me. Most of the time we were worlds apart. I was not your little Susie homemaker but your wild and free daughter who never knew when to come in out of the rain. But in my eyes … you made the best shoofly pie in the world! And you made our house a home, a place of laughter … and tears. Tears that I was not afraid to shed. I miss those times you would call me when the ice skaters performed on television. We would watch together by phone and not hang up until it was over. I miss sharing our yearly ritual of watching “Gone With the Wind” and how we both sighed loudly whenever “Rhett Butler” came on the screen. But in my eyes … you were there with me when I visited Charleston and you will always be whenever I visit our beloved South. I remember how you collected white doves after your beloved pass away. Dad stole me away from you all the time to go for a walk in the back yard. He was my white dove also. But in my eyes … you still wear the white cameo pin that you loved. You gave it to me only months before you left to go square dancing with Dad, at least that is how I see you both … IN MY EYES. I love you, Mom. Happy Mother’s Day.
