These are Rose and Buster’s newborn puppies. This was taken a few hours after I got them home from the Vet. (11-14-09) Rose had to have a C-Section…but all seems to be going fine. The little one with it’s head under the other has an all white head. There are 3 boys and 3 girls. I will be putting on more of them as they grow. :)) / Taken in my home in Amherst, Virginia with my Cannon Powershot SX110 IS FEATURED IN YOU’RE ACCEPTED / /

Male Cairns Birdwing Butterfly (Ornithoptera euphorion) at the Melbourne Zoo. / Australia’s largest endemic butterfly species, with females reaching a wingspan of up to 16 cm. Males are usually a few centimetres smaller. / Males have a predominately black upper wing with emerald green flashes, however the female lacks the green colouring, having a plain black upper wing with white patches. The female is the larger of the two sexes. The larvae or caterpillars of this species breed on several species of pipe vine. The leaves of the introduced Dutchman’s Pipe (Aristolochia elegans) will kill the larvae of this species and several other swallowtail butterflies in Australia. The Cairns Birdwing Butterfly lives in tropical rainforests between Mackay and Cooktown in north-east Queensland, Australia. It is most often seen flying in the canopy of the rainforest. / The destruction of tropical rainforest has led to a decline in the population of the Cairns Birdwing Butterfly and it is now a protected species. / http://www.arazpa.org.au/ D300. A family poses in front of their home. / Do your children have good, wearable, outgrown clothing? This family needs clothes that have not been worn out, handed down, used up, and that cover their bodies. In no time, modesty will no longer be met. Adults in this village need clothing, too. / The girls need head-scarves to be ‘properly dressed’ and to protect their hair from the sun. (It isn’t a ‘religious thing’, nor a ‘style thing’, it’s to protect head and hair from the desert sun.) / Please get in touch with our charity mission in Great Briton. / / My heart breaks for them and I live to help them. / Children without parents, without food, without care. / Children who die young, who live on less than $1 per day. / Don’t look on our children to hate, laugh or condemn. / Don’t hide your eyes, turn away, and remain unaware. / Don’t say “No” because, for these, it is “Yes” you should say. / (R) dayonda 16 Nov 2009 All PROCEEDS from SALE of my ART, plus DONATIONS MADE to “PHILADELPHIA MISSION CHARITY”:http://www.philadelphia33.org GOES to HELP EXTREME POOR and SICK in REMOTE and RURAL VILLAGES in AFRICA. I was standing on the pier on a hot Summer night just watching the people walking and playing on the beach. I saw this young man walking on the beach and he looked like he just lost his best friend.

As most of you know by now, we live in the quiet (at present) and delightful Indian ocean side township of Yanchep, some 55 kms north of Perth in Western Australia. The beaches are less than 5 minutes away in the car and I took this photo yesterday afternoon, (Friday 20 Nov) / The nearest red roof building you can see is a beachside cafe/kiosk (their fish and chips are great by the way!) / On the left – and out of shot – a large housing development is taking place and the eventual plans show that we can expect to see promenades, cafes, small hotels etc. It wont be our sleepy little Yanchep for much longer. / Camera Sony DSC R1. / 24-120 Carl Zeiss Vario Zonnar lens with cp filter / f11 at 1/250th second / hand held

Also known as the pansy orchid. you can see the similarities. I’m always amazed that every flower has a different pattern in the centre and how they look like dancing ladies with their arms inthe air.
Saved from Death and worse than death, / Another soul to live! / Our Sister Susan, here, draws breath, / For you were kind to give. Poem® 19 Nov 2009, Dayonda Stribling / www.redbubble.com Photo ed’s note: This pic is deliberately darkened around Susan’s eyes to bring them out in all their beauty. Susan’s face has been electronically edited in the tradition of old-fashioned oil-paints-on-a-print enhancement. If you’re using a laptop and you can’t see Susan’s face, tip your screen toward you, that should do it. / __ When we first met Susan on a mission to a rural village in April 2007, she was in the later stages of death. Her body was infested with intestinal worms. Medicines would not work. I prayed for her in the village, along with two other mission volunteers. We left to continue our journey. But God spoke to me, and we returned that evening and put her in our old battered vehicle and brought her to our mission centre. We continued to pray and command death to leave her alone. 5 days later and God had completely healed her. Now as you see, Susan is completely healed. She shares her testimony with us on missions into other villages and many have also received healing and hope. Praise God! Please help us to continue to reach others in dire illness and need and extreme poverty.
