inner unrest
Children are not just miracles, they are the reason we are who we are, our hope and our future. They are gifts.
I lowered my dosage of medication ( for depression), and know that the coming weeks – maybe months – might be difficult at times. Tonight is one of those nights – and I know that I need to learn how to get through these lower moments. Being beside Neil is making it so much easier…I just hope he has the patience to see it through with me. xoxo

I wrote this about 12 yrs ago!!! The day I broke the cycle …..
Please read the poem first and then finish reading the rest of this description….no cheating :) Ok, a few days ago I ran across the written and visual works of skinnyman. In his portfolio I came across this. I have a thing for clay tiles and when I first joined rb I originally had a photo of a clay tile roof which I loved but not many others seemed to appreciate. As I said to Peter, I removed it due to lack of appreciation of the clay tile! So when I came across Peter’s photo of a clay tile roof I was thrilled! We got to talking about tile’s and how cool they where etc. Then today sort of as a joke, we decided to challenge each other to write a poem about them. I know…...all very strange but true! We gave each other an hour to write….and this is what I came up with :D In 24 hours we are going to see who gets the most views, favourites, etc. Man the people that I meet here and the things that I do! All in good fun ;) Please read Peter’s poem as well.

The most oblivious person in the world…

These words came to me as I was travelling along the motorway through an horrendous storm this morning…. Thank you for taking the time to read my work, it is always much appreciated. I welcome critical reviews of my written work…please bubble me if you have any constructive comments….
October 8 2009 It seems like no matter what I do I can’t lose this nagging sense of all is not well with me. In fact the sense is so strong I feel no small amount of anxiety. No matter what changes I make, my heart still keeps on at me. I wrote this piece after I did in fact post that very Facebook status. Funny what can inspire… Also of inspiration Office Haikus heard at a recent work conference, with the topic employee engagement: “I sit wondering; / Can someone die of boredom? / Only time will tell.” I find it and others inordinately funny! While there is definitely an element that is serious, it is meant to be fun, it certainly helped improve my mood!
This one speaks for itself …. we all have mixed emotions when hit in the face with something we least expect to hear!
My second free write this week….... Thank you for taking the time to read my work, it is always much appreciated. I welcome critical reviews of my written work…please bubble me if you have any constructive comments….
I wish I could say who this poem is for. / I wish sometimes that love never visited. / I wish that I didn’t write the line / above because it is a lie. / Though it was true / at the time. Let go. The tranquility speaks. / What’s real remains. Not getting what you want. Is it good for the soul? Maybe restraint is very beautiful, the inconvenience of being who you are. And wanting what you do, / so impossible and true. A goodbye is just a goodbye. / Perhaps we only ever live / in the strong fragrances / that do not make sense / and will never leave you.
