My daughter sunning herself one winter morning. Studio, Oregon. Transparent watercolor on cold-pressed 140lb paper. Original is approximately 10×14 inches. This painting was first poured, a masking technique much like batik. After three masks and pours it was scrubbed with a brush to soften the lines left by the mask. Finally darks are brushwork details were added.

About This Group
Works on Paper. This Group is about Paper, and what Artists can do with it. The quality of work must be high. If you wouldn’t enter it in a works on paper competition then don’t put into the group. This group will represent those artists who know about the different kinds of paper and can actually tell the viewer what type of paper they are using and why. This site will hopefully be educational and will mostly speak of technique and mediums. If you are thinking of joining the Group, please read the Group Rules carefully before joining and this will save any disappointment. We are a Group with Rules, but they are fair, and do hopefully keep a pleasant and cohesive atmosphere, and a place that Visitors will look at. That being said – New Members are Most Welcome.
