Railway and streetcar tracks atop the High Level Bridge, Edmonton, Canada. These tracks are on the upper of two decks, the lower of which carries automotive traffic and pedestrians. The span in the photo is just under 2900 feet (877m), is about 175 feet (21m) above the river and was opened for service in 1913, connecting the then independent communities of Strathcona and Edmonton. Although commercial rail traffic ceased in 1989, a streetcar now traverses the bridge in the summer months. I saw these reflections and ran for the camera. Sydney Harbour like a mill pond before the many vessels start their morning trips and disturbing it’s surface. The other factor is that look to the water surface that landscape photographers might know it’s like a oily look to the water that lends itself to wonderful reflective surface. It took many shots of Sydney Harbour this morning, if, and you should have seen the sunrise that followed . WAIT ! yes i have photos of that as well. Spiders seem to be everywhere around here; here is my home in Tukwila, WA, about ten minutes south of Seattle. This one lives in my shed, and from the perfect web (s)he spun, (s)he watches my home and yard. I find spiders fascinating creatures and artists in their own right; their webs are instinctively symmetrical. These shiny specimens of handiwork and beauty are lethal as well, perhaps the perfect combination? Shot with a Fuji FinePix A500, Shutter 1/640, ISO 100, 6.4mm focal.
this was a great cemetry, it was creepy and it had tons of character you dont find in every old cemetery you go to. some great shots were had here. we shot in the rain. I really have to go back to this place again soon and shot up a storm

Taken while on holidays in the USA. / Seligman, Arizona is a Route 66 town all the way. This delightful town retains all the flavor of the old road. A trip down Route 66 in Seligman is a trip back in time to the days when Route 66 was the Main Street of America. Founded in 1895 after the completion of the “Peavine” Railroad (see Ash Fork) the railroad camp known as Prescott Junction officially became Seligman and was an important railroad stop along the line. Seligman embraced Route 66 wholeheartedly upon its arrival in the late 1920’s. The railroad and tourist traffic from Route 66 became Seligman’s main source of economic security. In the late 1970’s Seligman was bypassed by the Interstate and the Santa Fe Railroad ceased its operations in the town in 1985. Many old towns with similar histories would have faded away once they were bypassed, but not Seligman. Image modified in Picasa 3. Samsung Kenox S860 / f/8.4 / 1/250 sec. / ISO-80 / 6 mm / 2.97 / 38

Rosemary's doin' the Happy Dance!!… I’m very excited today, because I’ve just learned that a l…
I’m very excited today, because I’ve just learned that a local gallery is going to exhibit 20 of my images for 6 weeks from the end of this month. WOOHOO!!! ..... very excited about this!! So now it’s time to decide which 20 images to use. The gallery owner tells me that ‘almost anything goes”, but images with a rural slant tend to do well. / I have a number of images in mind, but I’ve discovered that what I like doesn’t necessarily mean that others do too. So if you have any suggestions, I’d welcome them with big huge open arms! / Let me know which of my images you think would do well at exhibition. ( Please don’t tell me ‘none’.... that’d ruin my fantastic day!) love to hear from you all :D
