  • There is a brand new initiative coming from the great creative brain of Red Bubble’s Jo O’Brien who has begun a chain of interviews, dedicated to spreading the love and creativity. / She asked MuscularTeeth to start a chain. / He interviewed Karin Taylor and Butchart . / Karin interviewed Frozenfa and Mui-Ling Teh !! / Then Frozenfa interviewed BarbBarcikKeith and me!!!!!!!! What an honour!! / Also Mui-Ling Teh interviewed Jo Holden! Now my turn to interview hahpistuff : ))) hahpistuff Talks Creativity / Question by Midori Furze / Answers by hahpistuff How does being a creative person and pursuing your creativity affect other aspects of your life? Well, for starters, it keeps me super busy, running on just below empty most of the time and drives my poor uncreative husband insane! (He is always asking me how on Earth I can see the beauty in something butt-ugly and then let the thought of making it pretty consume me until I finally get around to de-uglifying it!) / I spend most of my nights laying in my bed, staring at the ceiling, thinking about all of the designs and projects that I want to do. Sometimes I wish I could just turn my brain off just for a bit so I can get some sleep! / Other than all of that, I love being creative! I have 2 successful galleries and have made some extra cash with my products. It still amazes me sometimes that someone would spend their hard earned greenbacks on something that I created….it’s so surreal! I also have this annoying bum knee that keeps me from working outside of the house so my art serves as a kind of stay-at-home job, too! Tell us about one person or moment that has made your time on redbubble particularly special or meaningful. Wow…only one?? Hmm……. / Well, during this whole crazy Doc Martin Contest that I entered a while ago, this amazing sweetheart appeared out of nowhere and not only voted for my design everyday, but also had her kids vote AND put my boot design on her blog! Her name is Gracey and she is beautiful both inside and out! She is an awesome photographer and a great online friend! Her thoughtfulness really touched me! You don’t meet people like her everyday for sure. Show & tell us about five works on redbubble that have moved or inspired you / First one, is Madonna and Child Hugs by Karin Taylor. I love this piece because you can feel the bond between the mother and her child without any words. Everything Karin does inspires me because she can paint and I couldn’t if my life depended on it! (yes Karin, I’m still jealous!) / Second is Family by Paul Rees-Jones. This one moved me from the first time I saw it….all those lil girl piggies then their Daddy’s are right there with them. To me it just shows how important a role Daddy’s play in their children’s lives. / Third design is Le Danse Macabre by Sarah Moore. This one made me really think about the relationship between life and death. This is a very powerful image. / Forth is I helped Test and Approve.. by Crockpot. Whether you are an animal rights activist or not, this one is going to get to you. It’s cartoony but still powerful in its message….I don’t think many people think about what happens to the poor bunnies that actually test the junk we use everyday. / The final piece is Doll02 by FireRabbit. For some reason this one makes me think about children who grow up around abuse…I’m sure that’s not the story this artist wanted for their pic, but it’s what I got from it. This one makes me want to go out and pull an Angelina and adopt bunches of li ones! .................................................................. / Thank you Shannon!! / Keep an eye on hahpistuff’s journal! / She’ll be posting two more interviews like this sooooooooooooon. / I wonder who she’ll interview!!!
