writers who talk to one another

....... i belong to several writing groups.. hell…. i even co-host one…. i’m hoping this group will support each other and actually make some comments on each other’s work…..... all the comments i get currently are mainly from visual artists… what is it about we writers that we can’t take the time to support each other and the work we do????/ i’d be interested in hearing people’s thoughts… and having a discussion…... (that being said i am headed to bed.. but promise to return tomorrow….)..............b |

it’s a shame but the lack of response may, in itself, be an answer. for me, it’s pacing, how something reads. i find the ‘breaks’ in a piece of writing, whether it’s a stream of thought or a poetic expression, are the most important. how you broke up your own comment here says it all. you can see the writer reaching out, searching for words or even something kindred. as to why some of these kindreds might not reply.. who knows. i myself am bound to the above stated. it takes something special for me to want to search and reach for the words myself. to take aside the time in such a fast-paced society.. and just talk. or rant. i hope these long, 9 months have not despaired your search. i hope, also, that you’ve found some consolation in your search for the kindred. i love ranting. i know im all over the place buttt.. this place looks slow on the forums side so who is to say anyone would notice? even you may not shrug lost in the havok that is the Web, all powerful but swamped in its own power. it’s a flood, my friend, and we’re all crying for a lifeline, call it Purpose |
