• The picture must have been taken in a town or city.
• Please identify the species you have photographed before you submit it and include the common name in your description.
• Please give a general location such as ‘Central Park, NY’ or ‘South London Garden’ in your descriptions and note that ‘my garden’, ‘in the park’, ‘at the lagoon’, ‘outside my office’ are all too vague. They don’t tell us what town or even country, and could be anywhere in the world for all we know!
• A maximum of 2 photographs on any day.
• There is a limit of 20 photographs.
• No zoo animals, wild animals in captivity, domestic animals or pets, and wild flowers and wild plants only. No horses or ponies even if they are wild.
• Colour photographs only. No B/W. No selective colouring.
• No over processed images or montages where animals have been placed in an urban setting using picture editing software.
• The moderator’s decision is final. Sorry but we cannot enter into any discussions why an image may have been rejected, but if it happens, check these guidelines again, as it is usually because some required information is missing, or your picture was taken outside of a town or city.
• Have fun and help us all to learn something new!
