I am doing my best to add everybody’s work little by little, so please be patient! This list mostly contains artworks by members of our group, but also some artworks by artists who have not joined the group yet, especially if their materials or technique are interesting for our discussions. Some artworks have been listed twice, because they contain two (or more) uncommon materials.
Artists use the following uncommon materials to draw or paint with: balsamic reduction, bleach, blood, cacao, cherries and strawberries and other berries, citrus fruits (lemon, orange, lime, tangerine etc.), coffee, crackle medium, detergent, dried up paint, food coloring, Himalayan clay, make-up (lipstick, maskara, eye-liner, foundation, eye shadows…), neel, paprika, plaster, rain, salt, shoe polish, stale milk, tea, tea liqueur, toilet bloo, turmeric, toothpaste, urine/semen/faeces, walnut ink, wax and bees wax, windex, wines (red wine, white wine)… and more to come soon!

LOL @ “except for the bodily fluids” Thank you for your contribution Joel! I am very glad that you find this list helpful, because the goal of our group is: sharing ideas, learning from other artist’s know-how, trying new methodologies and experimenting with new materials, creating unconventional art and perhaps hopefully finding new ways to make these materials known to a broader public… I would like to try some of these materials too! Especially the rain, the salt, the blood and the crackle medium.

Wow! This is fantastic, Ina! A great resource and source of information. There are so many things listed here that are totally new to me when it comes to using them as a painting medium… you can probably imagine a few of those surprises! Thanks so much for the hard work you put into this group… you’re the BEST!
