This is my first tutorial – I hope you find it’s easy to use. It was designed in and for GIMP, however I’m sure the basics can be transferred to Photoshop, too. here is the resulting image:

OK so I didn’t think of this, but I’m damned if I can find the link to where I first read about it, so all credit to the guy who thought of it, I’m just paying it forward if I do find the link again, I will post it here and name the guy who came up with this genius idea Studio lights are bloody expensive ! so to do it on the cheap, I went to ScrewFix we all have these general cheap DIY Stores in our towns, and I purchased Two of the larger Tripod Sitelights, and two of the little ground level sitelights the good thing about these is that they came with 500Watt lights as standard, but you can buy different wattages down to 100, and in some places you can also purchase halogen “Daylight” bulbs that will fit them, the only downside, they get bloody hot if you have them on for a while, so packing away needs to involve a coffe, a ciggie, or maybe a pint ! total cost £50:00 ! not bad Eh ? so here is my setup as it stands Lights Staying on the cheap, we all have “PoundShops” in our towns as well, or whatever they are called in your part of the world, you know the place I mean though, usually you buy something there and it lasts a week, a month if you’re lucky ! Cheap Umbrella with Silver lining, and a Windscreen shade, Green one side, and silver the other Total Cost £6:00 ! again not bad eh ! I cut the Windscreen shade in half, although for a quid I guess buy another ! Reflectors I also bought a bunch of clamps for holding the Marquee sides up on available nails ETC. another Quid ! the three marquees were bought for a street party and I am the keeper of said marquees, so £0:00 ! plus for £4:00 I bought a set of Chiffon type curtains from Ikea for women to look wonderful draped in So how mobile is this setup ? Very, the most expensive Single Item of the lot, TKmaxx, one suitcase, £20:00 All of it fits inside, the two trripod lights, the two little ones, the clamps, the curtains, the Marquee sides, the umbrella, Suitcase and to show the size of the Case, I had to find something to give it some perspective, Oooh look ! there’s that hat again ! Ready to Roll Grand Total £81:00 Photography on the cheap ! Love ‘N’ Laughter Kriss
Further to my Photography on the cheap / Mobile Studio post I decided to see how long it would take to set up, fire off fifty shots and pack up again the result was 52 Minutes, yes Fifty Two minutes Starting with this, the Mobile Studio and a new addition @ a cost of forty pounds I bought a Background support from Ebay and was quite surprised at how strong it is supporting fairly heavy Marquee walls I also purchased a 43” 5 surfaces Reflector for ten pounds from Ebay again, don’t critique the shot it was just a speed test remember LOL and Seb isn’t a model so he was getting a bit peeved by this time ! I the returned the Mobile Studio to it’s Home by turning off the lights immediately I was finished shooting and then taking everything else down first, the lights had cooled off enough to be packed away, ready to go Mobile again so for less then £150:00 I have a mobile Studio, and in under an hour I can get a shoot in as well ! Hello, everyone Today I got news from a art gallery director I talked to on twitter.. and there gallery is called…... Galerie St.George in New York ….I asked them to take a look at my work I have here on red bubble and they did and would now like me to send them 10 of my best images to them and they are going to put them up on there site ! / I guess first thing I would like to ask ya’ll is has anyone heard of this gallery in NewYork , Here is there link and they have there address on there ….http://www.galeriestgeorge.com…... Maybe there is someone on here from NewYork that can tell me / so I guess what I am wanting to know is should I trust them or not ? / now he has only asked for the image to be 800 by 600 with 72dpi and no bigger then that To The Heart Of The Matter / And then my next question is ..I would love ya’lls input on which images ya’ll think I should send ? This is my first time in doing something like this and I want to make sure that what I send will be what a gallery would want to promote and best shows my work as well ! Thank you so very much in advance to all that can give me any help on both of these things!! Trying not to get to excited until I know for sure they are indeed who they say they are ! =D =D Happy Shooting , Carla

Forgive me for submitting this to lots of groups, but you can all use the infromation for what you prefer.
I did this as a little bit of fun for the Photo Manipulators group. / Show us you workspace
Hey everyone, One of my biggest disappointments at the bubble has been the lack of contest functions for writers. The way it works for artists is wonderful. Why can’t we have this for writers? I posted this in the suggestions feed. If you would like to see this function in redbubble, please go to this url and post your comments and vote. The more response we get the more attention the bubble will give it. It’s time to give our writers as much attention as our other artists on the bubble! Suggestion Feed – Click Here Patty Jo
Instead of involving Redbubble wouldn’t it be nice if we could just block unpleasant people from our Bubble. Please read this Journal entry by Amanda Rae and this one by Robin Brown
