Featured in UK National Parks Top Ten in Lakes and Inland Waterways – Autumn Challenge Top Ten in UK National Parks – Autumn in the Parks Challenge Loch Ard lies to the north of Loch Ard Forest, west of Aberfoyle in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. / The loch is in three parts which are joined by beautiful waterways and this image was taken in October this year in the second part travelling away from Milton. / This section of the loch (sometimes called Little Loch Ard) is joined by a small channel inaccessible from the road side and is a slightly larger bay than the first, with a collection of boathouses and a boat jetty commanding views down the Loch west towards Ben Lomond.

I have been testing out my B+W 1000 filter over the weekend and when at Blea Tarn it was windy and a lot of movement on the water, I thought it might be an opportune moment to try it out, so I hope you like my 2 minute exposure at f22 shot of Blea Tarn looking towards Langdale Pikes. Another of Frank Bruce’s sculptures in the Cairngorm National park – on a forest walk nr Loch Insch. It is called the Walker – looking at the statue…his right leg is to the front – his left leg has his arm and hand resting on it – - the third leg !! Well he carved the centre out so needed a support I’m assuming – Amazing height but all carved from a dead tree on site.

This group is devoted to showcasing the incredible National Parks that we have in the UK. The aim of this group is to show the rest of the World just how beautiful and breathtaking the UK really is. Therefore, please only upload your very best work – the type of work that will leave an impression on others.
The UK’s 14 National Parks (+1 proposed) are split as follows:
a) England – Dartmoor, Exmoor, Lake District, New Forest, Northumberland, North York Moors, Peak District, the Yorkshire Dales and the Broads which has equivalent status to a National Park. South Downs (on the south-east coast) is proposed to become a National Park.
b) Wales – Brecon Beacons, Pembrokeshire Coast and Snowdonia
c) Scotland – Cairngorms and Loch Lomond and the Trossachs.
