Portrait of a devotee, from Waari. Taken last year and also presented it on PS format. But I always thought, something’s missing. This time worked with Photomatrix and PS. RAW file was processed in Adobe Camera Raw & converted to 5 TIFF format files with (+/-) 0, 0.5 & 1.0 exposure values and taken in Photomatrix for HDR conversion. Finally balanced in PS with multiple layer processing. Equipment : Canon EOS 400D, Canon 70 – 300 mm lens @ 300 mm. Av – F7.1, Tv – 1/80 Sec. ISO 100. Sunrise in Yanghuo, Guilin, China. Yangshuo is an enchanting destination nestled on the banks of the Li River surrounded by spectacular limestone mountains. For centuries painters, poets and philosophers have been to drawn to this majestic location. It was one of my favorite Nihonga, or Traditional Japanese Painting, artists artwork from his visit here that inspired me to go as well. While me and a friend where walking on a large area with temples, people and everybody in worship mode we encountered some interesting people like this guy, laying there with a begging bowl on his chest. Soooo many people gave him money, he was laying right in the crowd! Other beggars didn’t get half as much as him! It was a very interesting scene!!! You can see his flop flops laying in front of him and a girl putting money in his jar, another girl looking back while holding daddy’s hand. people are in motion and I was shooting right in the sun with the only lens I was carrying, a 70-200 2.8, I had to take my distance to frame it what was hard because many people where walking in front of me, finally I got this shot and am very happy with it. The overall mood and feel of the image is just amazing if I may say, ENJOY! Gear: Nikon D3 & 70-200 2.8 / Settings: 1/800 -F/2.8 – 70MM – ISO 400 / Processed in Lightroom
Near the Vietnam/Cambodian border, we passed this family who were interested in our bikes, our clothes and our cold drinks!!! While the four younger siblings laughed and carried about, the elder sister gave us a shy, smile and wave.
Taken with a canon 40D, 24-70mm lens
