This delightful and serene man often sits reading his text, I have wanted to photograph him a number of times but can’t carry my gear with me whilst at work. He can’t speak english but nodded and posed when I showed him my camera. The thing that struck me about this gentleman was the serene aura he had about him – I hope the photo conveys a sense of that to you.

Canon EOS 400D I’m doing this self portrait series because I have reached a milestone in my life… I’m happy! It’s taken 37 years to learn who I am, who I want to be and love myself. I am a strong, intelligent, genuine, loyal and loving woman. I am a twin, I am a daughter, I am a partner, I’m a friend, I am a business woman and an artist, and I am gay. I have found out the hard way the difference between lust & love and how rewarding and beautiful life can be. The most important thing I have discovered is I can be myself and as long as I am happy with the person I am thats what matters. I have accepted my self, my shortcomings, my weaknesses aswell as my strengths and qualities. I feel I have evolved and since I reached my mid thirty’s I worried alot less and started living a whole lot more :)

FIRST TIME PUBLISHED / Watch this I looked outside my restaurant in Broome I saw two cowboyheads sitting on the tables outside and I had a strong urge to make some photo’s. I spook to the two men they where from Fitzroy Crossing. They where watching a crowd of Indeginous Aboriginal men and women ‘hanging’ outside in the Plaza. They where waiting for the local liquorshop to open, In Fitzroy is now a ‘ban’ on alcohol, they told me, so Fitzroy Crossing is now a ‘dry’ Community Miss. / Broome, Western Australia. / Today I received an email stating; CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR IMAGE ‘TYPAN’ is one of 55 images from the PEOPLE & PLANET International Photo Competition. to be published in the 2009 People&Planet; Social Justice & Enviroment Diary, which will be published this month in Australia (2009). / We thought that your image was incredible, and it won from a pool of OVER 1000 images from 316 photographers from around the World! / All funds raised by the People&Planet diary go to Australia’s small non profit organisations which are working to promote social-justice and environmental substainability around the world. / / watched 802 times 7-11-09

No approval required and you are encouraged to remove and rotate your works displayed in the group. Please only add or rotate 2 images per 24 hour period, if you exceed that limit I will delete all your images added that day.
