This was taken on a trip to Costa Rica. The waterfall was located deep in the forest and only reached after 2 hours trek. This natural light was stunning and the water itself incredibly invigorating, if not a bit cold! this was taken in the Horn River area 220kms north east of Ft Nelson BC,,,a couple of years ago a huge natural gas deposit was found in this area and drilling has been going on year round …I was up there last weekend and this was the first time I had seen two rigs drilling on the same lease…these are big drilling rigs ..to give you an idea of how large they are those storage tanks in the lower left are around 30 ft tall….after doing what I had to do there I took some shots….the color versions were okay but they lacked Drama …so this is what I came up with…..taken with a Nikon D200 and a Nikkor 18-200mm lens ,focal length was 18mm….

The sun was setting in the west creating a warm glow on parts of the city, the smoke from the chimney and the distant hils. Taken in the Weeribben National Park in the Netherlands in November 2009. / I came across this tree that had fallen in the last couple of years while crawling through the wetland woods. It’s all covered in moss and new growth now so the cycle continues..
