Oil on stretched canvas 900×1300 mm Top 10 in a Challenge in the Group SA Rainbow Nation Dedicated to Roney, who lived with his little brother on the streets in São Paulo and was tragically murdered in 2008 at the age of 12. Their lives have been pretty much guided by fate and fortune, like most other kids on the streets of the big cities in the world. An unstable childhood due to their mother’s alcoholism, has led them to end up on the streets full-time. It is unacceptable that 21st century children are still at risk on the streets. Carf Brazil, was established by Gregory J. Smith in São Paulo in 1993, to benefit the street children of Brazil by defending their rights and offering them a dignified solution so that they could live and grow within a family-oriented context and healthy social environment. As Grerory quotes, Albert Einstein said: _The world is a dangerous place. Not because of the people who are evil; but because of the people who don’t do anything about it. Sales from this painting will be donated to CARF who assists in the rehabilitation of street children in Diadema, São Paulo, Brazil. Read this poem Golden Boy written by Rhenastarr, who was inspired by this painting.
This Image was shot during my first trip back to India which lasted a mere 5 weeks. On my way from the airport to my guesthouse in none other but Paharganj, this little girl came up to me in my autorickshaw and asked me to buy a balloon. I loved the life in her eyes!! I exchanged money and a small plastic toy I had for her photo….I carried around pens, balloons and sweets in my pocket from that point onwards in my journey….a pic for their choice of the three…most chose pens

A young monk at one of Phnom Penh’s temples. He was so proud to show us his robes, smoothing and posing for the cameras with pride. A few of the other boys were making fun of his confidence, but we loved it!

I am a missionary and was born in Northern Ireland and now live in London. My passion and inspiration to work and help these precious poor is born from my personal relationship with God. his love and mercy changed my life completely in 1986. 50 of the 64 children from this village have never gone to school. Mary is 12 years old and she cares for her younger brother. She never has gone to school like most in Tunga/Zuga village. I called this photograph “what If”. What if someone paid the £70 -$120. per year for her school fees, uniform and text books?. What if someone wanted to give Mary a future where she could learn to read, write, and what if Mary learned skills that would earn her money and she could help her younger brother also to go to school? / What if Mary had the change to be what she wants to be, a Nurse? What if someone took the what if and made it all possible for her?. ALL MONEY RAISED FROM SALE OF MY ART, AND DONATIONS MADE VIA OUR CHARITY WEBSITE, GOES TO HELP THESE PRECIOUS CHILDREN. WE TAKE NOTHING OUT OF WHAT YOU GIVE TOWARDS CHARITY OVERHEADS. WE ARE NOT SALARIED AND COVER OUR OWN TRAVEL EXPENSES. SO ALL THAT YOU GIVE GOES TO THESE CHILDREN To make a donation, or find out more, Please visit our Charity Mission website: http://www.philadelphia33.org/ Camera: canon EOS400D. If you look closely you can see a drop of ice cream on his sweater—Greece is filled with wonderful contrasts.
We spent a few days in Switzerland during our holiday, as you can see it rained for the first 48 hours. During this time we rather optimistically decided to try and go up a mountain in a cable car, sitting outside the station praying for brighter weather we ended up eating our picnic there! This is Miss N ingeniously adopting a table as an oversized umberella! Taken with a Canon EOS 450D / Shutter 1/80 / Aperture F5.6 / ISO 800 / Focal length 55mm Post processed in Lightroom 2.0 – I had to get rid of the glaring red from that brand that will remain nameless!! Ended up getting this antiquey look which I love so you’ll be seeing more like this!! FEATURED Oct 2009: The Human Condition
I was born in Northern Ireland and now live in London. I have been a missionary now for 15 years. When we first met Susan on a mission to a rural village in April 2007, she was in the later stages of death. Her body was infested with intestinal worms. Medicines would not work. I prayed for her in the village, along with two other mission volunteers. We left to continue our journey. But God spoke to me, and we returned that evening and put her in our old battered vehicle and brought her to our mission centre. We continued to pray and command death to leave her alone. 5 days later and God completely healed her. Now as you see, Susan is completely healed. She shares her testimony with us on missions into other villages and many have also received healing and hope. Praise God! Please help us to continue to reach others in need and extreme poverty. ALL PROCEEDS FROM SALE OF MY ART, PLUS DONATIONS MADE TO PHILADELPHIA MISSION CHARITY, GOES TO HELP EXTREME POOR AND SICK IN REMOTE AND RURAL VILLAGES IN AFRICA. WE NEVER TAKE ANYTHING OUT OF YOUR GIVING. ALL CHARITY OVERHEADS ARE COVERED BY OUR MEMBERS AND VOLUNTEERS.
