Ruins of Slane Abbey , Co Meath Ireland! / / Meath Heritage site, Ireland. / St. Patrick has become synonymous with things Irish; from shamrocks to the shortage of snakes on this Isle, but there was a time when he was viewed as a foreign Christian missionary come to convert Ireland’s Celtic pagans. This he did with great symbolic flare. As the Druids celebrated their feast day on the Hill of Tara, Patrick prepared the Easter feast on the Hill of Slane. He lit his paschal fire at Slane, before the Druids could kindle their sacred fire at Tara. Seeing the flames at Slane, the Druids, warned Laegaire, the High King, that if Patrick’s fire was not put out immediately, it would burn forever in Ireland. De-constructivism by Elizabeth Bravo
In the making of this piece, I was merely trying to do a reverse image on the buildings on the left. Again, I hate to just let it at that, so I added some textures and did an invert for the sky. But then something magical happened. I was trying something with a layer and thought I would lasso some of the parts and cut, but it didn’t take enough and I thought it was a mess. But then I realized how much it looked like a style of design called De-constructivism. I remember this from several semesters in Scottsdale community collage. I was studying Interior Design and I LOVED it. Don’t ask why it went by the way side. Who knows. / I also layered in a street scene that showed a view of the Bay bridge in San Francisco. / I love how it all came out. I may still have a bit to do here, but for now…... / I hope you enjoy my take on De-constructivism. /

This group has been set up to give greater exposure to each member’s portfolio + increase sales.
Each member of THE BUYERS CLUB will be required to make ONE purchase by another member every 6 months…but it cannot be a greeting card…it has to be some OTHER product (print, t-shirt, calendar, etc). And you can BUY any image/artwork within each members’ portfolio (NOT limited to uploaded Group images).
There are MONTHLY Challenges in our Group and the WINNER will have their image purchased as a ‘greeting card’ by all of the other challengers (although you cannot markup your image more than 20%).
Each member MUST provide their email address to be a part of this group (send to one of the Group Hosts).
