Taken by my lovely wife (all systems auto on the Canon 400D), processed by yours trooly in photoshop, then processed some more, added to a few other programs, played around with it like a cat with a new toy, swish, swish, thwak! Did some more stuff to it then added it back into photoshop for the final touches, similar to a killer whale knocking the stuffing out of a seal that we’ve all seen on tv and exclaimed, whilst grimacing “Ouch, that’s gotta hurt” and cringed at the cruelty of animals but not realised just how cruel humans are to each other on a daily/second-tick-tock, tick-tock basis! BTW, I hope you like this image – it’s me. ;-) Canon 400D / Canon 18-55mm Lens
Is it just my son, or are they all the same? Take the young man to a sensational national park and all I get is a video on his Transformer video camera!!! Taken at Dunns Swamp in the Wollemi National Park.

Luib is a very small township passed on the main road from Broadford to Portree, on the beautiful Isle of Skye. It sits in a wonderful position at the head of the Loch, surrounded by the Hills, with a magnificent waterfall not far up the road. / Timing is difficult with this scene, ....first the light has to be ‘right’, plus you have to be there when the tide is in, AND it has to be a calm day….....not so easy on this Hebridean Island, LOL !! / I got this in New Year 2009, when we had just one week of proper old fashioned Winter ! Taken on my Canon EOS 40D, tripod, polariser, f22, 0.3 sec, iso 100, cloudy wb, RAW file processed in PS CS3, levels/curves/......
Newhaven Lighthouse / Sussex For the 3rd weekend in the last 4, we have been hit by severe storms. / From my house, I could see a glimmer of light out to the west . I jumped into the car and arrived at Newhaven Harbour 5 minutes later. Rather pleased with this image, as it was taken through driving rain & salt spray. The image is quite heavily cropped & resized Panasonic G1
The iconic Liathach rises above Loch Clair, on a beautiful Winter’s day. / Not a perfect reflection, but still a wonderful scene. The dead tree has stood there for as long as I remember, in just the right place for a great composition. / Liathach is one of the Torridon Hills, in the North West of Scotland. A paraglider has jumped off the cliff at the famous Bald Hill near Stanwell Tops & soars like an eagle over this heavenly sight of Stanwell Park beach before landing in Stanwell Park. I think that is where they land. This was a fairly hot day. I’ll be back for more shots when it’s a bit cooler & in the meantime dream about soaring like an eagle like they have done. A tandem flight sounds good. A larger view will show the Sea Cliff bridge winding around the coast. / This area is just south of Sydney, Australia.
