sometimes you just need to howl…......... Matters of the Heart I lose my head / From time to time / I make a fool of myself / In matters of the heart We should have been holding each other / Instead we talked / I make a fool of myself / In matters of the heart But I asked before / Your reply was kind and polite / One wants more / When one’s denied / I make a fool of myself / In matters of the heart I won’t call it love / But it feels good to have passion in my life / If there’s a battle / I hope my head always defers to my heart / In matters of the heart I guess I’m crazy to think / I can give you what you don’t want / I make a fool of myself / In matters of the heart I wish that I had the power / To make these feelings stop / I lose all self control / In matters of the heart I can’t believe / It’s so hard to find someone / To give affection to / And from whom you can receive / I guess it’s just the draw of the cards / In matters of the heart You caught me off guard / Somehow you reached me / Where I thought I had nothing left inside / I’ve learned my lesson I’ve been edified / In matters of the heart I’ve spent my nights / Where the sleeping dogs lie / Not by your side / It feels so lonely / Once again I’ve left to much to chance / In matters of the heart Here I sit / I’m feeling sorry for myself / It’s quite a sight / But I have you to thank / For reminding me / We’re all alone in this world / And in matters of the heart I’m already missing you / Although we won’t say good-byes / Until tomorrow afternoon / Maybe when and if I see you again / We’ll see eye to eye / In matters of the heart I have no harsh words for you / I have no tears to cry / If the moon were full / I’d be howling inside / It only hurts / In matters of the heart If today were my birthday / I’d be reborn / As Bronte’s bird a bird that could fly / And all accounts would be settled / In matters of the heart Tracy Chapman
It is such a crappy feeling to think you can have somthing, anticipate having it, and then finding out it is just out of your reach. Somthing we all can relate to every now and then. / Stock credits / Cat here / Bird here

This was inspired by the beautiful poem ‘By The Sea’ written by my wonderful friend Restlessd It immediately conjured up the music of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata On 17/11/2009 this image has had 756 views Featured in / Art For The World / Jen and Erics Eyes* / MCN :: CBG75-QXBCY-WMQNY By The Sea The moon reflects its luminance / As I stand above the flowing waves. / The tide moves evenly in and out / White foam crashes into the caves. Sea oats whisper in the wind / A gull breaks the night with its cries. / I stand alone taking all this in / And a smile comes into my eyes. Darkness, darkness all around, / The sand so cool to my feet. / The music of the ocean near, / Yet, silence set in so deep. A motionless sky beacons to me / While streaming white stars say no. / So I will stay where I be, I’ll not disturb thee / For I really don’t want to go. Melting clouds drift all about / Just like ghosts beyond the sky. / Now and then there comes a call / As a sea bird soars on by. Away beyond the shoreline tide / A few lone ships fade and hide. / There they await the dawn / Knowing then their work is done. Ebbing, peaceful rhythms ever so near; / Quiet solitude engulfs me, / I am calm and I am happy here, / Walking in the night by the sea. _____ Several backgrounds were blended together in Photoshop CS4, and textures added. The beautiful girl was blended over several layers, some of them being blurred to give movement to her dress. The clouds and moonbeams were painted. I was pleased with the end result, so I really hope that you will like it. ______ Special thanks to the artists who so generously shared their stock… Girl / Gulls / Main background

I didn’t have a title for this for quite some time and was just going to put it up as “Untitled” when Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain” came on my media player and I just knew then the perfect name for the image. There are various layers with the high pass and rough pastels filters and different blends in this image. My favourite texture – “Rendered” – was used, blended using multiply and partially erased. Dan, I don’t mean to say you’re vain, it just suited the pic! :) You’re So Vain by Carly Simon You walked into the party / Like you were walking onto a yacht / Your hat strategically dipped below one eye / Your scarf it was apricot / You had one eye in the mirror / As you watched yourself gavotte / And all the girls dreamed that they’d be your partner / They’d be your partner, and You’re so vain / You probably think this song is about you / You’re so vain / I’ll bet you think this song is about you / Don’t you? Don’t you? You had me several years ago / When I was still quite naive / Well, you said that we made such a pretty pair / And that you would never leave / But you gave away the things you loved / And one of them was me / I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee / Clouds in my coffee, and You’re so vain / You probably think this song is about you / You’re so vain / I’ll bet you think this song is about you / Don’t you? Don’t you? I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee / Clouds in my coffee, and You’re so vain / You probably think this song is about you / You’re so vain / I’ll bet you think this song is about you / Don’t you? Don’t you? Well, I hear you went up to Saratoga / And your horse naturally won / Then you flew your Lear jet up to Nova Scotia / To see the total eclipse of the sun / Well, you’re where you should be all the time / And when you’re not, you’re with / Some underworld spy or the wife of a close friend / Wife of a close friend, and You’re so vain / You probably think this song is about you / You’re so vain / I’ll bet you think this song is about you / Don’t you? According to a recent survey by Diva magazine, most men still don’t know where the clitoris is. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / EXPLANATION: HUH?? Not exactly necessary, but I just wanted to point out for those who are horrified by anything sexual, that the foam on the model’s lips is toothpaste. In the manip it represents saliva. Many thanks to ysaedda-stock for the hands. Many thanks to voivodess-stock for the beautiful model. Many thanks to Ash Sivils for a texture.
