About This Group

TELL YOUR PHOTO STORY is about the gestalt photo experience where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. This group is for conceptual composites or collages and photo series that convey a story. We love humor, tributes, diatribes about the photographic process and learning about technique.

“Tell Your Photo Story” through a combination of IMAGES in the description area, which serve to tell a story or illustrate lines within a narrative. Conceptual collages, composites and cover images of theme-based calendars with a link to the calendar are also welcome.
COVER IMAGE OF THEME-BASED CALENDARS NOW ACCEPTED!!!
Link to calendar and information of theme must be included in description area.

NO IMAGE WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT A SERIES OF PHOTOS IN THE DESCRIPTION WHICH SERVE TO ADD OR ENHANCE THE SUBMITTED PHOTO.
The only exception will be collages (a collection of images combined into one image) or composite work (two or more images merged into one image) or cover images of calendars with link to the calendar. Elements for building the composite MUST be referenced in the description area. Inclusion of sample photos showcasing original image or progression of work is enouraged.

Our aim at TELL YOUR PHOTO STORY is to encourage creativity while emphasizing the process of creatively combining or merging images with a conceptual purpose. We want artists to reach beyond their usual comfort zone and learn to expand upon their art through humor, sharing, the written word and combining or merging photos.

“Stories” can be fabricated, cathartic, share a photographic journey, enlighten us, tug at our heartstrings or leave us ROTFLOAO.

This is a family-oriented group so no nudity or violence, profanity or cruelty to animals or humans will be allowed! Other than that, the sky is the limit. We are a laid back group who loves to laugh and share and generally have a good time. Journals will be accepted on a limited basis: if they are tutorial, include a photo series, or make us laugh until our sides hurt! Tasteful cartoon/parody series and composite art accepted.

Work by a host may be featured by a co-host and hosts may participate in challenges. Images may be used to represent the group as avatars without prior notice. A BM will be sent informing the artists of use.

At TELL YOUR PHOTO STORY we love learning about our art and each other!
Sorry, NO writings or T-shirt art accepted.
