Sunny Days and Blue Skies

About This Group

We are a group for good old-fashioned photographers, who see a scene & just want to capture it as it is, with all the framing and exposure settings done in the camera and with no changes or modifications made to the photo later on. I guess you can say we’re looking for a true representation of what you actually photographed. If that’s the sort of photos you take, we’d love to see your work displayed in this group. If you like to enhance photos and change things around and your photo ends up not being a true capture of what you photographed, then please don’t submit any of those photos to this group as they won’t be accepted.

Please understand we are not a groups for photos of skies – we are a group for photos taken on sunny days (with a blue sky in the photo), but not showing more sky than is necessary for the framing.

We are only accepting photos of scenery – in natural colour, taken on sunny days with brilliant blue skies – (with no cloud, or very little cloud in the photo). We don’t accept any overcast or dull day photography or hazy or smoggy or smoky days or any time exposures – it has to be sunny and the sky has to be a natural blue that you get on very sunny days, and your subject has to be in the sun and not in the shade.

We’ll accept quality, scenic photos from around the world. We are looking for the type of scenic photos that a tourist would buy as a postcard and we want to see the cities, the towns, the countryside and the coastal views – the sort of places that a tourist would like to see if they were a visitor to your country. Send in your photos of sunny days and blue skies taken in Australia, New Zealand, Africa, America, Canada, Europe and Asia.

We have 4 photos on display in the group rules of what we will and won’t accept as far as clouds and haze go.
