Digital image taken with Polaroid 7.1 on Auto Flash / by: S. Patten-Forster 2009 Image of a bright setting sun shining it’s rays through the ever-growing darkness of night.
Deep in the gorge of Watkins Glen. This is a truly magical place that allows me to fully experience the feeling of divine inner peace. This was photographed with a Canon EOS 10D camera using a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L zoom lens @ 70mm. The shutter speed was 1/60th sec at f/8. The camera’s ISO was set to 200. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a remote shutter release. Your comments are always welcome! Northumberland – Alnmouth. I found a pretty photographic memorial.
The sky over the bush (bosveldt) in South Africa, Kruger Naional Park, is absoluetly stunning. Its pure blue, unpolluted, undiluted, real sky blue that takes your breath away! This was taken recently whilst running to the car i quickly lifted my lens to the African Sun and captured its warmth. The song is by local artist Johnny Clegg / Its a beautiful song about our big blue sky… / African sky blue, your children wait for the dawn / African sky blue, soon a new day will be born / African sky blue / African sky blue, will you bless my life? / African sunshine, soon you will warm your children’s eyes / The African river water will dance and leap in your morning light / African sunshine / African river water, will you bless my life? / Oh will you bless my life? / Oh will you bless my life? / Oh will you bless my life? / What can I know? / What can I dream? / What can I hope? / What will the future bring? / You shine through me, but will you see me through? / African sky blue / African thunderstorm, your soldiers march through the air / The African rain will fall and wash away all my tears / African falling rain / African falling rain, will you bless my life? / Oh will you bless my life? / Oh will you bless my life? / Oh will you bless my life? / The warrior’s now a worker and his war is underground / With cordite in the darkness he milks the bleeding veins of gold / When the smoking rockface murmurs, he always thinks of you / African sky blue, will you see him through? / Hum-oh-hum / Hum-oh-hum... A storm rolls in over Blairgowrie beach, Victoria,Australia. This is a reworked version of one of my earliest shots uploaded to Redbubble. I’ve just made some minor adjustments that I intended to do a long time ago. I’m happy now. ;-)

I am still hoping to get a chance like this during this month. These moments are so precious, however, that they like beautiful butterflies. You have to be there just in time on the right day and with the right sort of weather conditions. Or they are gone. Even following the weather report closely the evening before you are never able to forecast the exact situation at a certain spot. So there is only the trying. Some of you might say: why try to repeat what you did before? Well, there is always the challenge of an even better result. But to be honest: it will be difficult to improve on what I managed to achieve here on a lucky morning like this one near Lage Vuursche in October 2007. Before Our Time…...Our oceans are pure…...and our air is clear…... I had fun creating this image, it looks like a HDR photograph but in truth its not. The sky was almost washed out so i rebuilt it from scratch using layers and blend modes in Photoshop CS4. WOW….I really must get out more :) The photograph was taken in Cornwall England
A storm on the horizon.
As you love my lightbeams, I did search for them again this morning. With the morning haze which we tend to get in this season, there will be more chances to go out and chase them. But this morning I was already reasonably content. I hope you are too … Near Lage Vuursche, 18th September 2008, 9,43 am / Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 29 mm / F 4,5, 1/30, ISO 400

Again and again the morning of 8th November proves to have been the ultimate light-shooting opportunity of this month for me here in the forests around Hilversum and Lage Vuursche. Afterwards we got a lot of wind, and so all mist was driven away. Many showers und only relatively short spells of sunshine were dominating now on the weather scene. I am all the more glad that I took so many shots on that spectacular morning that there are still some left worth showing here. The 4th piece of my Flyland Series. / This song inspired me After the explosion of the planet which created the soaring islands, this bride was separated from the one she wanted to marry. Her knight soared away on another Flyland…....and she stayed alone with his horse and thanks God – this old hut which gives her shelter. She is so thankful for the grass growing on this little Flyland, and the straw in the hut….it keeps her warm at night and helps to feed the horse. / She wonders if she will meet her knight again, she doesn’t even know whether he survived…...... / _____ Thanks a bunch to Joseph Auquier for the stockfoto of the lady on the horse. / _____ / Digital Painting done in painter, based on a 3D Vue Rendering and some postwork.
