A night in the mountains beside a loud waterfall becomes surreal as the speaker contemplates the similarity between the refining of gold and of the spirit.
Hephaestus was Greek god of technology, blacksmiths, craftsmen, artisans, sculptors, metals, metallurgy, fire and volcanoes.
A mass meteorite comes hurtling towards a planet in the year 2134, it is detected 5 years before its estimated it will collide. What do the small beings on this little planet named Earth do. After much consideration from the best minds available the course of action that was decided upon is to design and deploy a massive dual ringed space station spinning around the earth at a phenomenal speed to deflect the rocks approaching. As you see here it is 2139, will the beings on this planet survive, or will they perish. Made in Bryce 3D, Lens flare and cloudy background added in Photoshop CS2
Well this one started out as a drawing of a tornado, then I started to see mechnical bits and pieces in it and then….oh well you know how it goes :) Storm Cruiser The remnants of the Bubble Clan watched awestruck near the base of, Last Stand Hill, as the Monolithic Storm Cruiser, inched its deadly way across the plane. They were not its target, for now, but they would not be able to stay here for long. The mountain ledge photon cannon, was automatically readying itself. Its threat detectors had been activated days ago when the battle tank had first appeared on their horizon. It seemed to offer little hope against the approaching monster, but it may buy them a little time. They had not expected the war. The Bubblers were a peaceful, intelligent and cooperative artistic community. They created living artworks which reflected an inner contact with the pulse of life itself. Initially they supplied the subtle sense needs of the other communities on this planet, their home, Klezz. Then as demand for their amazing works grew, news of this spread across the galaxy and soon they were trading across the divide, linking happily to other worlds, through CWT (Cosmic Wormhole Travel ) Now, paralysed with fear, Bubblers could only speculate about what had gone wrong. The CWT was supposed to filter out sentient beings of a dark and negative nature, but somehow the Kalmardans had arrived and from the safety of their giant, dark, disk-headed tyrannosaur like tanks, they crunched their way coldly and efficiently across the surface of Klezz. The cruisers had been designed with horrifying ingenuity. They created and harnessed electrical storms. The static required to fire their deadly lightning-blaster cannons was created by counter rotating successive layers of metallic disks at high speed. The air trapped in between the disks was ionised in a fraction of a second and the energy directed in concert to the unfortunates, in the designated target area. The sound alone was enough to terrify populations into submission. Should that fail, as it had in Bubble City, then the high energy bolts would cut through the toughest Bubble Domes, searching out weak points at the entrances. Kal, wiped a tear from his face and called to the others. It was time to move.
In the orbit of the planet Blue Skies floats the supergate,it is 1 mile in diameter, and the short cut to the Andromeda Galaxy.
After a spell Earthside, I was getting restless feet and just had to go back out there. Created solely in Photoshop and Bryce 6/DAZ. / Music by space itself.
This is the top most deck on the mega cruise liner, here she is just leaving Mars orbit. / Some cruises can last up to 4 years.
One of the many pleasures that came about in the mid 25th century was the galactic cruise lines, with ships that now could span not only seas, but entire galaxies. Appearing here from time to time will be some of the images I captured on many of my intergalactic holidays spent on the ships of different cruise line companies. Of course these vessels are more floating cities than actual ships. At the turn of the 25th century many innovations once used for battle platforms were modified to civilian uses. One such was the immense force shield/bubbles that held the atmospheres on warships. / Once these were brought into use the cruise lines of many worlds put them to use in building vast pleasure ships, so by mid century these became available to the general public. This image captures part of the 10 mile swimming pool on the Pool Deck of Carnivalis lines new mega cruiser “Solaris Traveller”. / Some of the dimensions of the vessel are: / Length = 83 miles / Width = 15 miles / Deck Levels = 1503 / Passenger capacity 156,000 / Crew 72,000 / She as a cruising speed of Warp 8, and 3 onboard Star- Portals. / The Portals are used for “Shore Excursions” on the many Portal Worlds she visits
At the edge of the Alpha Quadrant lies the federation base Rims Edge, very soon an armada of federation ships will drop out of hyperspace. When all have arrived plans will be prepared to go through the starportal and confront the dreaded “V”. Just now things look very peaceful, but soon…...
The battleship Salvators Revenge seems to float below as we orbit the moon. Federation vessels from near and far are gathering here before setting course for the federation base at Rims Edge. Once there we will proceed into the Gamma Quadrant, some of our colonies there are threatened by the “V”.
All the data that could be measured from orbit was in. It was time for Magnus Hawson to make his first planetary landing on the world that was later to become known as Hawson’s World. This was the first of many discoveries Magnus made during his career. Although an interplanetary scouter can look after all the requirements for it’s single operator and provide just about any taste or diversion, it is still a lonely life. The on-board cameras took this shot as Magnus piloted his XK119 planetary lander for this now famous landing . . . Background scene made in ArtMaticVoyager. / XK119 Rendered in Bryce / Planetary atmosphere, colour change on planet and moons added in Photoshop . . .

An article on the possibilities and Probabilities of Intelligent Life Elsewhere in the Universe. Written in 2000.
Had this theme running through my head for the last couple of days. So I thought I’d try and get it started.
At the far edge of the Andromedia Galaxy lies a part of space known as the *Wheel of Time. A planet hovers within the gate, a stepping stone or guardian if you will. Vessels entering the wheel must register here before proceeding to who knows when. / When first encountered millennia ago, the forces at work here pulled the unsuspecting into the vortex, most to be lost forever in times portal. But now with the planet Guardia floating by who knows what technologies in the entrance, a time-map is being made to the different “timezones” a ship is flung. / The ones who return add greatly to this collection. And maybe in the fullness of “time” all will be explained Craft from many races share the patrol of space here, in view is an Lizarian Cluster heading for the planet.

No it’s not like the flying saucer in The Day the Earth Stood Still (the 1951 original film and an all-time favourite of mine) but I was thinking that we (us Earth people) again could do with the help of Klaatu and Gort. Not a new thought but as I was working on this image with music going (as always) up came Doubting Thomas’ Come In Piece / Hence the idea behind this. Flimsy I know but nevertheless. There was other music as well. / Created in Bryce6/DAZ and Photoshop CS2. / Criticism, as always, is welcome.
