Baggy Point by morpheus71
Baggy Point (near Croyde) looking North-East towards Long Rock and Woolacombe Bay (North Devon). Its a stunning void in front of you here and the sense of space between here and the next cliff takes your breath away! An awesome place to rock climb but still a great place to stop for lunch and breathe in the view, the salty air and the lulling noise of the surf crashing below….

And the catalyst was guilt due to the lack of time. The workload on my record company and my healing work has increased dramatically. Sixteen hour days now, up from twelve as has the bulk of artwork from my friends appearing in the Bubble. (sometimes I sleep, LOL). And there lies the problem – I cant keep up with the submissions to the / Bubble – hence feelings of guilt. I loved commenting on other peoples work. The word WOW figured quite often as a result of seeing someone’s work. So not leaving, just popping in from time to time to explore for the Wow factor and make the odd comment. Perhaps up-load the odd photograph. If anyone would like to take over the moderation of the Watersports Group that would be appreciated. If any of my friends would like to stay in touch please email me on tago44@hotmail.com The plan is that, hopefully, the record company will make enough money for me to employ enough people to do some of my jobs. LOL. Then – well more time for the Bubble. All Blessings and thank you for being such good friends. Andy Reeve

Down on the beach by Pete Gallagher
This is a nice setting in North Devon to relax on the beach, the place is called Instow Beach which is very near to Bideford. We rush over to Instow to catch the last few seconds before the sun went down, it was nice to see people looking and having a few moments just dreaming.

South Down from Meldon Quarry by Graeme Pettit Photography
Devon, UK Taken from close to the parking area at Meldon, this is a January view of South Down, near Okehampton, on an extraordinarily clear day. It is an image which had slipped into the wrong folder when I was sorting them in the new year.

Today, I went into the BIG CITY, Exeter, :-)), and took my trusty Pentax K110D to the London Camera Exchange (LCE) to have the sensor cleaned, which they do on site. / The guy called me about half hour later and asked if anyone had tried to clean it before, to which I said NO, apart from using the brushless blower to try and blow the dust away. / He said there was a thick residue on the sensor, and on discussing this with him, he was in total agreement that it was quite possibly due to the fact that there could have been some condensation in the blower, which ended up being sprayed on to my lovely sensor, so, that is a piece of equipment that I will not be using again. / The nice gentleman at the LCE charged me £30 for a lovely clean sensor, and the LCE can be found at the top end of Fore Street, just along from BHS, and opposite Jessops.

I recently purchased a Kood brushless blower, to blow away all those nasty little particles of dust that always seem to find their way onto the sensor. I have only done this a couple of times, and have started to notice that my sensor seems to be in a worse condition than before. My theory on this is that there is a small build up of condensation inside the blower, so that when I squeeze the blower, it blows the dust away, but at the same time, blasts small amounts of water (condensation) onto my sensor. Has anyone else experienced this, and is my theory a possibility ?

Cemetery - St Martins-by-Looe by bidkev
A shower passes, and the cemetery is bathed with light. I normally find cemeteries to be morbid places but I was attracted to the flora here.

Yesterday, I put new batteries in my camera, after a little while it was showing that the batteries were running out, then the little flashing icon disappeared so I just thought that it must have been a blip. Today whilst we were out, the little icon started flashing again, so I thought I’d change the batteries and put it down to maybe they weren’t properly charged in the first place. Anyway, I went to get the batteries out and they were red hot!!! I got three out of the four out ok, but one was stuck and I had a hell of a job to get that one out, it was red hot and I actually burnt my finger tip trying to get it out. Eventually, with the hem of my t shirt, I managed to prise it out, but it was swollen and as I said, very hot. Now, has that happened to any of you, could it have been a rogue battery or do you think the battery mechanism in my camera has gone wrong? After my camera had cooled down, I put some other batteries in and it seemed ok with them.

About This Group
Welcome to the Devon & Cornwall, South West UK group. The only group that does things ‘Dreckly’. And if you know what that means, you are halfway to joining.
Please read and UNDERSTAND the Group Guidelines before submitting any work for approval.
The aim of the group is to promote the art, writing, history, heritage, culture, scenery and wildlife of the two counties, on RedBubble, and then, hopefully promote the ‘Bubble’ in our own communities. The group is open to anyone who lives in, has connections with, or has even holidayed here, or just wants to join to look at, or read, all the amazing work that is on display here. Also, being such a popular holiday destination, the group will hopefully be a library of information for fellow ‘Bubblers’, who are planning a holiday here. With so much history, culture, and stunning scenery in the area, this group is the one to be in. Active participation within the group is encouraged, so please support the group, and your fellow group members, where possible. Thank you.
