The last wave, legendary surfing experience. Started life as an ordinary photo, being circular blurred in photoshop and a hundred other processes, surfers are free stock photos off the net, and bird cluster is an Obsidian Dawn bird brush.
A sepia edition of the “Mystic Tree” The tree is a local species in the park surrounding Elachbunting Rock, just north of Mukinbudin in the wheatbelt of WA Camera was Nikon D80 and photo edited in photoshop and Lightroom.
Having walked across a very rocky section we finally came to this delightful area – only 3 or 4 minutes from the car park but it seemed to take longer. / If you didn’t see the two previous photos, Parrys is off the main Denmark to Walpole highway about 25 kms west of Denmark and near enough 475 kms south of Perth, Western Australia. / It is possible to walk from this spot, round the rocks and on to a beautiful, long, clean beach where you might be tempted to spend the rest of the day and to blazes with your time schedule!

This is the second shot in my Notre Dame series. This time, the front of the incredibly detailed cathedral, found in Paris, capital city of France. Citadel shows the rear of the building. This is another piece that basically created itself. I wanted a black and white, textured finish, the piece had other ideas and went for something more mystical and magical. Texture used from ‘struckdumb’ free use stock, on www.deviantart.com. Layered texture seven times, altered hue and colour levels on each to be different shades and colours. Desaturated tones in each layer, blended and colour altered further. Canon SX100IS MCN: C8RW9-8BQUA-MAFP9 More photography:
It is great fun to go clambering over the rocks at Parry’s. There are numerous crystal clear pools and, if you’re lucky, you might see a tiny fish or crab. / You park almost at the water’s edge, walk down the ramp, turn right and you’re on the rocks. Every few yards you’ll cross a nice little sandy beach and each one makes a wonderful location to put the esky down, the brella up and just sit and laze for an hour or two! / Parry’s is reached by a turning off the main Walpole to Denmark road on the south (Southern Ocean) coast of Western Australia some 475 kms south of Perth. There are no shops so it is strictly BYO.
A little thing caught my eye at the Pingelly tip. We are not allowed to remove things from the tip these days, as this poses a risk and the Shire is liable. Rumour has it that one could even be photographed by caught in the act with evidence!!! I wonder how rubbish dump scavenging photography is viewed by our council! Some pathos in discarded broken stuff with personality. If you haven’t seen the movie Wallee, it is a lovely film, and this broken object has that essence. I could possibly work on this to improve, or to say more, maybe with some grungy textured filter?...or maybe leaving it is best. All suggestions very welcome! Fulifilm Finepix
99% sure this is a species of euphorbia, rather than a true cactus. Gorgeous specimen maybe 15 feet tall, and the owner didn’t give me a piece no matter how strong my hinting and compliments!.......So I suggested that when it falls over, as is quite likely in a strong wind, that she could give me a bit then! I love the form of this one – dramatic and bold Fujifilm finepix S1500, auto setting (yeah boring amateur!) Pingelly Western Australia
