I wish I was a “proper photographer”.
I love to have a record of the beautiful things that I see, for example when someone buys me flowers or when I go on holiday, I must photograph it.
.
I am always on the look-out for something interesting and I adore history and architecture
My ‘user name’ dunawori comes from the name of my house (duna = don’t & wori = worry) so I try not to worry about too much and I believe that a good sense of humour is essential !!
Smiling is so good for you and if you smile at people they will, more often than not, smile right back at you……. it’s infectious !!!
.
Most of my images are quite colourful. I like to have bright colours because I am colourblind – it runs right through my family !!!
.
I hope that you enjoy looking at my work, as much as I enjoyed making it
Thank you
.
Sheila

Carnival Masks . Venice

I saw these on a stall in Venice and loved them, I think there is something magical about masks.
The problem was the photo had price tags and batteries and all sorts of souvenir shop merchandise, so I had to make all that look as dreamy as the masks themselves. I hope that I have succeeded, it does seem to be quite popular and it sells quite well too !

Cataracts of the Nile . Egypt

I was in a restaurant on a hill with the sun going down behind me. I think that is why the light is so good.
It is my best seller here on RB and has had the most views of all my work.

Old and New Under one Roof

I went to see the Terracotta Army at The British Museum in London UK.
I wasn’t sure if it would work when I took it, but it is exactly as-is, and I am very proud of it

Venice 8

I love Venice so much, it has such character and every day the same shot can look so different.
Every time you turn a corner, you can see such interesting things.
I like this because of the colours and it attracts a lot of attention so I think others like the colours too !!

Aga Khan Mausoleum . Egypt

Egypt again…. for me, these images are the 8th wonder of the world!! haha
This one and ‘Cataracts of the Nile’ have not been edited at all

Lower Gallery . Versailles Palace

Versailles was very interesting and beautiful but so many visitors mean that it is almost impossible to get a shot with no-one in.
I removed some people and a wheelchair from this and closed the door at the end of the gallery in PS.

A Wave Hits A Morris Minor

This is one of those in-the-right-place-at-the-right-time shots !
I took my father to Cornwall for his 75th birthday and as we both had new cameras, we thought that we would sit on a bench that is only a road’s width away from the sea, to take some shots of waves splashing at the side of the road.
From a road on my right a car emerged onto this road and just as it drove past this huge wave hit !!!! Wasn’t I lucky??
I used Photoshop to remove some buildings and bins etc up on the hillside and I also changed the number plate to protect the vehicle owner but the rest is as-is

Sunnier Than I

I love yellow and adore sunflowers!! I always say that they are a smiley face or sun on a stick.
This looked like an eye to me, so I played on the word I/eye

Rio de San Zane . Venice

I bought a painting on my first visit to Venice and after some research I discovered where it was – so on my next trip it took a whole day to find the exact spot – Rio de San Zane was it!!

Country View 2

This is at the entrance to Acton Burnell Castle ruins in Shropshire UK. It looked a so romantic, I hope you like it as much as I do.

I Spy…
.
This little boy is my most commented on and most fav’d…
He is quite cute and some people on RB are lucky enough to see these all the time, we don’t have them in UK so it was such a treat to find him at The Eden Project in Cornwall UK

Many thanks to Fran for introducing the FABULOUS GROUPS which I am proud to be a co~host of…..

All In ‘Editing’
“If You Like “ALOT” Of Editing In Your Works This Is The Place For You!”

We love images which have been heavily edited or manipulated……
We feature weekly and run challenges from time to time.

Alphabet Soup
“Images from A to Z with weekly features based on a different letter of the alphabet each week"

If you like a group which offers a weekly challenge for each letter, then this is the place for you.
We feature weekly and if your image has been given a ‘featured banner’ you can enter it into the challenge.

Your Country’s Best
“Photography showcasing the uniqueness of your country. Include the location in the description of your image.”

A lovely group where you can show what is good, interesting or beautiful about your country.
Features are chosen twice weekly.
