This is now the permanent gallery for Scott Naismith. In his honor, this gallery is given the
permanent name of “The Scott Naismith Gallery”.

Please feel free to leave comments for the artist. Think of this as a guest book.

Each of these works is more appreciated, larger.

More works from Scott are posted below. We used this gallery for his artist reception
the week of his Solo Exhibition, here. Feel free to browse the now-permanent gallery
and benefit from conversations with many solo members. Scott not only discussed his
paintings; but also showed the progression of his art since Art School days. He started
the process of producing his first book, as a result of guest encouragement at the reception.
Hope you enjoy this wonderful exhibition of a fine artist, loved for his oil paintings of
Scottish landscapes.

“"Scott Naismith":http://www.redbubble.com/people/scottnaismith, Glasgow, Scotland, is constantly looking for a new horizon, whether it is a Tuscan villa or his favourite west coast Scottish beach at Morar. Like the Impressionists, he is astutely aware of changes in colour and light. There is an energy driving, compelling him to record.

Scott requires us to see his colours; because that is where the individual emotive connection is. He needs us to see the shapes of the tones of the colours; because that is the visual elements he has crafted into the surface of his canvases.”
—R. Sunderland

While everyone is sleeping in Scott’s area of the world, I’m going to hang the gallery. That way, Scott can just wake up and it will be like… Christmas!

These cinnamon rolls are a bit sticky. Make yourself at home in the kitchen. Plenty of napkins there! I’ll set them out if I remember! ;)

Chatting to myself here, as I’m hanging the Gallery for Scott’s artist reception. Can you imagine the ENERGY that went in to painting this much red with such exuberance? Incredible.

I wonder Scott, what were you feeling when you painted this? The sky is bursting!

I’m not going to comment here much, but rather let visitors soak in the beauty of these pieces seen together.

I have grouped them in 4’s. 4 skies, 4 cottage scenes, and in this first group, 4 sea scenes.

More goodies, first….
