Rules for Translating Artists and Photographers1) Discuss with the originating artist your proposal to translate, including the MEDIUM, STYLE, AND SOJIE CATEGORY. 2) Use the provided AGREEMENT, which each party can sign digitally, to reduce possibilities for misunderstanding. Post the fully completed and “signed” agreement, here in the workshop, except for any private terms in paragraph 11, which There is no “stacking” of agreements allowed. Stacking, in this context, means having two or more agreements in the works at once. 3) At least TWO Works in Progress posts are expected, HERE, in this workspace, even by Photographers WHILE YOU ARE IN PROCESS, meaning before you go to the next stage of the work. (The exception is for Watercolor, where only ONE WIP is required.) RELATED REQUEST: Please only post the the latest WIP in the Feature Medium size of the Easy Button. Hosts will enlarge it to 550×550. Previous WIPs may be reposted if they are smaller (The Feature Small size, or small thumbnails are perfect for recapping previous WIPs). 4) Deadline is September 30 for finals – end of the month. Wips must be posted BEFORE then. 5) OPTIONAL: SUMMARIZE YOUR WIP PROCESS (or finished work) IN THE FIRST TWO LINES OF TEXT OF YOUR POST. POST THE work-in-progress IMAGE JUST BELOW THE SUMMARY. SKIP A LINE before typing anything below the WIP image. This is for the purpose of our volunteers who are adding a brief synopsis of your WIP process to Solo’s Facebook Wall. If there is no summary at the top, the volunteers will be instructed to NOT post a notice on Facebook concerning your WIP, or finished work. Facebook wall posts really help our views in the workshop, so that everyone gets a little PR and has the opportunity to gain a new following. Begin your summary with the word, “Summary”, so that the helpers will know it is intended for the Solo wall. End it with one dash and your artist name. example of summary post: Summary: Between WIP 5 and Final, I rotated the painting, refined the face and its features, detailed “Nature Jewels” on the hat with fowl, flora, and fauna, and used a palette knife across the background to create a look of something akin to “internal cosmic space”. – F.A. Moore blah, blah, blah… other stuff, enlarged explanation, questions to other workshop members, etc. goes here! This part will not be included.
