CHANGE IS THE ONLY CONSTANT IN OUR LIVES.
We have been initiated into a time where we need to dim the ego, befriend the shadow, and build bridges between

For me this image typifies the real beauty of our fragile earth and how much we should cherish it. This is maybe a foretaste of the paradise to come in the hereafter. The monument on the hill perhaps is pointing the way to that paradise.

Through the Moss Covered Trees
by Lucinda Walter

Photographic Art
Location: Photograph was taken in the Olympic National Park on the hike to Marymere Falls.
Camera: Panasonic DMC-FZ28
Settings: ISO 400, f/2.8

I felt like I was inside an envelope of green. Green moss, green ferns and green trees. Trees that were brown but now green because of the moss. Looking up you could hardly see the sky only green leaves and moss. Looking out I was able to see a bit of something other than green . . . water. Yes, water from a little creek. Barnes Creek I believe. . .

Beautiful greens & flowing water in our wonderful earth! You could touch, see, feel & smell the earth!

The begin of mankind on earth
by Marlies Odehnal

Digital Art
Dimension: 4200 × 2800 pixels
Medium: Collage, rendering and painting with Photoshop CS 4 extended.
Inspired by Gustav Klimt “apple tree”

The myth of Adam and Eve is a great theme in literature and in art and was taken up by famous artists like
Duerer, Cranach to Michelangelo. Adam and Eve are Hebrew words and mean dust, mankind for Adam, “the living one”
for Eve.

Albert Schweitzer said once: “Man has lost the capacity to foresee and to forestall. He will end by destroying the earth.”
We must work hard in engaging to prevent and cease the destruction of our earth.

Lost
by Simone Fisher

Photographic Art
Location: Ha Long Bay, Vietnam
Camera: Nikon D80, DX 18-135mm
Settings: f/5.6, ISO 200, 1/100 sec
Processing: minor tonal adjustment

Weaving in and out of the fog and rain, it’s hard not to be captivated by the beauty and mystique of Ha Long Bay, in Vietnam. However, there were times when this World Heritage sight was beginning to show the effects of mass tourism; bays jammed with loads of boats, rubbish and oil were visible on the surface of the water and, we were told, the mist in the air could also be air pollution. I wanted to highlight the need for responsible and eco-friendly tourism not just in Ha Long Bay, but in many other ‘tourist’ destinations around the world.

Old growth
by ChrisArmytage

Photographic Art
Location: Wombat Forest, Hepburn, Australia.
Camera: Canon EOS 450D
Post Processing: Textured with my own stock photographs in Photoshop CS3

Logging of old growth forests has finally been stopped in our local forest after years of desecration..

Our roots are ancient, gold and gray, a buried treasure
Laying deep and secretive beneath the sunlit world.
My curling root grasps the woody starch of yours:
I can hear you, and the echoes of the animals and stars
Roosting and high in your broad-leafed canopy.
Our invisible links, a hand in hand network, echo
To the furthest reaches of our wet and fertile home.
And because we stand together, each of us …
Can hear the distant murmur of a rainforest’s heart.
We stand together: they cannot destroy us.

- Juniper Russo, Underground Forest

Edge of flight …

Photographic Art
Location: Photograph taken at Lorne, on the South-West coast of Victoria in Australia.
Camera: Canon EOS 450D

When you have come to the edge of all the light you have
And step into the darkness of the unknown
Believe that one of the two will happen to you
Either you’ll find something solid to stand on
Or you’ll be taught how to fly!
