Taken on Bungay common at 10am on 4.10.09 The light was just wonderful on mine and Simons first walk togther at the start of this Autumn, we decided to grab some us time with our cameras and head out for a gentel stroll. The light was just beautiful not to high in the sky, causing beautiful tones. / I just loved this when i spotted it the barbed wire rusty and hammered in and the texture of the old wooden post, what a combination. Humberstone is a ghost town in northern Chile, near Iquique. Many years ago it would have been a very exciting place with bars and theatres and even a cast iron swimming pool. It owed its existence to nitrates. A mineral mined from the earth and used as fertiliser the world over, now completely replaced by artificial fertiliser from the oil industry.
