A breeze ruffles the water into little ripples
that lap against the sides of
eight long, white, glisteni…
The watery depths lie dark and still below,
and deep velvet blue stains the speechless night.
The speckled heavens shed the only light
on a solitary sculler out to row.
... to silently wander among the trees in the ancient long-quiescent deep forests and breathe deeply the sweet essence of rainsoaked earth.
