Aloha, my suggestion for you before you begin is to go to your / mybubble page. / On the right of this page which is “MyBubble Overview” you will see a list / Add Your Work / Filter activity feed / Sales history / Edit your public profile / View your public profile / / You will now be on your page My Account where you may change your account settings. / Now this is one of the most important things I would like for you to consider, for remember if you can do it, others can do it to, and I want you to consider that someone else may use this code to copy/paste your image onto an unauthorized webpage without your knowledge or consent. So many members have asked me in private how to do this so I have created this tutorial. Yet, it is important to Watermark your work so that if it is copied and displayed by someone else without your knowledge or preauthorization, at least you will have your name on it, your personal watermark, and my suggestion is for you to scroll down on this page to where you see: / / Zoom View Watermark Preferences / and choose, click on, / Place a large watermark in the center of my images / / / Then down below you will also see / Other Preferences / / Notice: This journal is only a suggestion. / In no way am I telling you what to do or trying to influence you in any way. / Members have asked me how to do this, create large images, and so I am only suggesting that you take these precautions first to protect your own personal interests when you decide to post large images of your work on webpages. And another observation I have made is that the portrait type image looks best, larger than the landscape format. It is the dimensions of the field we are pasting it in that will determine the final size. / Click and turn on: / / Place a large watermark in the center of my images / Click and turn on: / / Discourage people from right-clicking or saving my images by placing a transparent image over the top of them. Please understand it’s impossible to prevent downloading of images displayed on web pages, but activating this feature will make it more difficult. Please note: Your original high-resolution images are never displayed on the website, and cannot be downloaded / Now, scroll to the bottom and save your changes. Exit or close the page, and open a new browser window. Choose your image you wish to display, either in a comment on your own journal, or to use when editing your image to display in the sidebar along with your description, or in your thank you note for a feature in a group forum, etc. It is important to note these are the only places I paste my own images. / I never do this with another members image, only my own images for which I own full copyrights. / You may wish to review my journal on the subject of copyright and personal journals if you have an interest and would like to join in the friendly discussion Open another browser window if you wish. Open MyBubble Open your art tab / I am going to use my image Silence of Devotion / as an example. Above in your browser is your image URL / On my image Silence of Devotion in my browser window, my URL address for my image is this: / http://www.redbubble.com/people/ourjrny/art/3977229-4-silence-of-devotion / That is the address for my image. When I attach this address to an image, it becomes a live hyperlink directly to my image. The code for the large image is: / http://images-1.redbubble.net/img/art/size:xlarge/view:main/yourimageurladdress.jpg You may wish to change the size. You can remove xlarge and type in medium or small…... Now, combine the two, with the code first. Then add the image number of your image. / In this case my image url address is 3977229-4-silence-of-devotion / So it will appear like this: / http://images-1.redbubble.net/img/art/size:xlarge/view:main/3977229-4-silence-of-devotion.jpg Place an exclamation point immediately before and after the large image code. Place a ! symbol before the first h of the http, and then again immediately after the g of the jpg. / It will appear like this with no spaces. If you remove this space between the first ! and h, the link will become an image. / ! http://images-1.redbubble.net/img/art/size:xlarge/view:main/3977229-4-silence-of-devotion.jpg! Now, add a colon symbol : / It shouldn’t be bold, I simply made it bold so that you could better see the symbol for a colon. / / : / Immediately after the colon symbol : add the browser window URL address for your image. Now the code will appear like this, with no spaces. / / ! http://images-1.redbubble.net/img/art/size:xlarge/view:main/3977229-4-silence-of-devotion.jpg!:http://www.redbubble.com/people/ourjrny/art/3977229-4-silence-of-devotion / / When you remove the spaces, it becomes a live image with an embedded link back to your webpage. Hover your mouse over this image and you will see it is a live link. Click on it and it will take you directly to my image. / / Here as an example also if you wish to add text to create a live link, simply remove the spaces below after the first ” symbol and after the colon : symbol and it will become a live link. / ” Silence of Devotion”: http://www.redbubble.com/people/ourjrny/art/3977229-4-silence-of-devotion / / Remove the spaces and it appears like this: / Silence of Devotion So now, you may display a full size image in your feature journal as you thank the hosts who have showcased your work. And if someone else uses this method to copy your work into their journal with or without your permission, the image will have your watermark in the center of the image with your name on it, so you will feel good about it. :))) Here is an example of where I have used my images displayed this way in one of my thank you for the features journals / I hope this helps to answer your questions. If you are viewing my tutorial and it has helped you in any way, please drop me a note in a comment and say…. Aloha!
