[question] What happens when another artist's image inspires you?

Tracy Wallace created an amazing image entitled Clumsy Misfortunes. She named it so because of another artist’s comments on her image. That artist was Markus Kunschak. Viewing Tracy’s image, and reading Markus’ comment sparked an idea in my head. If the girlclown, as markus called her, was entertaining the crowds with her Clumsy Misfortunes, would she still be doing that as an adult. If someone took a photo of the girlclown 10, 15 years in the future, would she strike the same pose, would she be wearing the same shoes, would she still be with the circus? I BMailed my idea to Tracy, who most kindly allowed me to use her Clumsy Misfortune image and to go for it. Below, I have a link to Tracy’s image – please go and view it and tell her her wonderful it is, and how wonderful her work is! And I also have a link to my image All Grown Up. Now, tell me – have other images inspired you? If so, what are they and what did you create based on that initial inspiration? |

Firedrake, that’s terrific – apologies for not visiting this thread sooner! Both works are amazing! Are there any other artists that have been inspired by others’ works? |
