Working Drawings

Some preliminary sketches here!

I’m doing a set of fives cards in an envelope, and each will have a drawing, showing the people I encounter during the couse of my day~ Its a school project (:

This is the kind of direction im heading in…do you think its emotive enough? just some thoughts would be very much appreciated!

Definitely emotive enough. It’s certainly an interesting style.. I would like to see you add a bit more depth to these faces though. Maybe you could try changing the angle of the face somewhat to show up more shapes – bring out the nose, the brow etc. I’d also love to see what kind of full body images you could do..

So yeah, I think these are a great start, but I reckon if you push yourself further you can do even better :)

i like your style…. personally i reckon eyes are the focal point of facial portraits… it’s important to get them right.. not exactly photorealistic, but make sure they’ve got emotion

and i’d mix up the sketchy stuff with some thick black lines to give the thing some meat, but i think that’s a personal style thing
