New style I am working on

I am working on a challenge… ie… shooting into the sun… the results are often quite interesting. |

i like it Ian. the composition is really good in my opinion and i like that unusual triangle thing jutting out into the sky…quite necessary to have cool stuff in the sky if you want to blow it out. just two small things: i would probably crop off a bit on the left…that puts more emphasis on the triangles and not on the posts. i would probably also increase the shutter speed a little…that should still give you a bright sky but it will keep the edges of the buildings nice and crisp, and you might even get a little more detail in those nice stone tiles in the front. use the highest number f-stop you can (i don’t remember if that’s narrow or short or what) to get everything in focus, and figure out your shutter speed from there. i’m sure others with more experience can probably give a more weighted opinion. :) |

I like it a lot, but it definitely looks more artsy to me, not really realistic. A bit unearthly… but in a cool way. |

Definitely artsy fartsy, but it also has an element of realism – the shadows that fall along the walk and roadway, the distant view in the background, the curve of the buildings. I like it – I like it a lot. |

The colours are brilliant, and I love your contrasts. I’m not sure what “artsy fartsy” means. |
