WHEN: 2pm on Friday Nov 20 and Saturday Nov 21 Herman will work in-store throughout both days (except lunch and coffee breaks). He will happily answer your questions. Herman is a master in watercolour, oils and acrylics. You’ve gotta watch this guy paint! BACKGROUND Herman started en plein air painting as a youth. He later studied fine art at Melbourne’s RMIT He is a multiple winner of Camberwell Rotary Art show watercolour and oil painting prizes .He has received the Camberwell Rotary Travel Scholarship, and has won the Alice Bale Award in 1989 and 1993 among many other awards. In 1994 Herman was invited by the National Taiwan Art Institute to participate in a book and travelling exhibition of selected artists from Australia, USA and Taiwan. His paintings are featured in Australian Impressionist and Realist Artists by Tom Roberts, 120 Years of Watercolourists, by the Australian Realist Artists, Artists and Galleries of Australia and New Zealand by Max Germaine and Profile on Contemporary Watercolourists. He has published a book of his work entitled “ An Impressionist’s Jounrey”. He is a member ‘The Twenty Melbourne Painters Society’, ‘Australian Guild of Realist Artists’ and the Victorian Artists Society. Herman is in numerous private and public collections nationally and internationally. |
